  2. I know Rocket is going to fix this EVENTUALLY when the next update rolls out. It's just that I wish Rocket could move forward with fixing this extremely, nearly game breaking bug, much quicker than he is currently doing. I seriously doubt it would be much of a strech to put out a quick patch to fix this specific issue instead of making us wait for the fix to be included in a bigger patch later on. Sometimes I wonder if Rocket is just waiting for the player count to hit one million before he actually releases the next patch, not cool.

Please fix the artifacting ASAP. Please.

I appreciate the suggestion but unfortunately I've tried this, and just about every other quick fix that's been posted on here. None of them work for me. Suffice to say, there is no universal method of getting this bug fixed, even temporarily as has been the case with most (for me they don't work at all). I guess if one of them had helped me mitigate this issue then I wouldn't have bothered making this thread in the first place.

Stupidest Ways to Die in DayZ

Getting knocked out by a zombie half clipped through the floor of a grocery store.
  5. I have heard in some interviews that Rocket himself isn't directly benefiting on a monetary level from each copy of Arma 2 CO sold. And when you consider the nearly one million players this mod has accumulated, let alone topping the Steam charts for what seems like an eternity, I think it's safe to say that this is complete bullshit. The sooner this mod goes the Minecraft route the better. Rocket shouild be the next Notch...except without the creepy beard-hat combo, and with waaay more money.

    Why this mod is failing

If you qualify DayZ as "failing" then you must live in Bizarro world. I admit that this mod is eons away from becoming the zombie survival horror game of my wet dreams. However, the experience that is here is something you currently can't find anywhere else. Definitely the closest thing to a realistic zombie apocalypse - and I do realize 'realistic' and 'zombie' in the same sentence is kind of and oxymoron. This mod is so much more than just the sum of its parts. If this game wasn't considered a mod then it would more than likely win many Game Of The Year awards.

How to add pictures to my post?

I'm a noob to posting and everytime I want to add a picture to my posts I use the image option where I input the photo url, BUT when I see my post, it doesn't show the actual photo just the url. What am I doing wrong?

How to add pictures to my post?

Ok, well at least I know it isn't just me. I think I'll try the attachment method in the future.

How will I know who is trustworthy?

I ask them if they're friendly. If they don't respond i shoot. If they do repond and say "no" I shoot. If they respond and say "yes" then I get suspicious and shoot. Does that answer your question?
  10. I was under the impression that zombies couldn't climb to the top of cranes. Boy was I wrong. I was sniping at Elektro and then suddenly a zombie donkey punched me. After coming to my senses, I noticed I was losing blood so i commenced to bandage myself - this causes me to fall off the crane and die.

    Under 9000 health and zombie's "random" super-punch.

I get knocked out by a zombie(s) when i'm well above 10,000 blood all the time. And literally the first hit by a zombie during the whole game has (from my experience) a 60-40 chance of making me bleed. Talk about excessive. Hopefully this gets tweaked in a upcoming patch.

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2.5

I know Rocket wants to carefully test patches before he releases them at a specific time of the week. I just wish he'd make an exception for when when a major nearly gamebreaking bug, like the current graphical glitch, pops up, and release a fix ASAP.

You're playing too much Dayz if...

When you wish you could use a bloodpack on pre-color tv programming.

    Realistic to shoot on site?

In a real life zombie apocalypse I would probably not shoot on sight. But in DayZ, shooting on sight is kind of mandatory unless you want to run away instead, whichever you prefer.

    Anys mods for the mod?

Yo dawg, I heard you liked mods, so we put some mods inside your mods so you can mod while you mod. Seriously though, there are no mods for DayZ as far as I know. And yeah, if you want higher resolution character textures then you're gonna have to purchase the Private Military Company DLC for Arma 2 as well.
  19. Full of Win! :) I didn't post in videos section because I thought the actual news within the interview superceeded that, though i could be wrong. EDIT: Full of FAIL. My bad.

    Debug Monitor

I used to have the same problem as you with my resolution of 1920x1080, except mine was too small. And no, you can't turn it off. What I did was exactly what Heretic suggested: 1. On the main menu go to options. 2. Then video options 3. Then press the ADVANCED tab 4. Then on the 'interface size' tab choose a bigger or smaller size, and then your debug menu should be out of the way but still on-screen while ingame.
