There is an easy way to figure out who's a hacker or not. Simply shoot at him. If he falls down and die, then he's not a hacker, but if he seems unharmed by your barrage of bullets, then you have yourself a haxxor. This is fail-proof.

Yeah I've pretty much been getting artifacts since the whole thing started. Not even once have I been lucky and not gotten them. Though, I have a hunch about something that may be correlated with the varying amounts of artifacting people are getting. The few people who I've seen post both having little to no issues with artifacting, as well as giving their specs, seem to have one thing in common - they all have 2gb graphics cards. And since I have a 1gb AMD 6870, I am wondering if there is something to this, or if it's just a coincidence!? Beats me.

Well I don't think this is the appropriate place to be sharing your personal fixes, especially when the fixes you mention amount to the same old same old 'fixes' we've been hearing about time and time again on the forums. If you're not getting artifacts then good for you. And if you feel so strongly about helping others by suggesting what worked for you, then go make a thread about it. Stop filling this thread with useless posts acting like you know what you're doing and leading people on, only to piss them off if and when your personal solution doesn't work for them.

The artifacting is still coming from the soldiers by the hotel area in Cherno.

I just hope Rocket doesn't take the "Oh, I am not getting any artifacts therefore you must be doing something wrong" arguments from some of the posters on this thread as the absolute fact for everybody. Because I know I've done everything right as far as getting everything updated. I manually updated both DayZ and Arma 2 OA, plus I made sure to play on several updated servers just to make sure I wasn't the one at fault for the graphical issues. Hopefully we don't have to wait another 2+ weeks to see another attempt at fixing these horrible graphical bugs...for everybody I mean.

I am still getting graphical bugs from all the same places (Balota Airfield, Cherno, etc.). Yes, I have UPDATED ALL MY FILES, manually. And have played on 3 to 4 different servers that were up-to-date in both the DayZ version (1.7.2.5) and Arma 2 OA build (95883).

Yes, I've tried this many times already. And in my case using flush actually made it worse in the sense that the artifacts became more prevalent.

I second this.

He clearly implied that HE DID get the update, and that it didn't solve his or his friend's artifacting issues. That is why he says it's as if he never even applied a new patch, since it didn't fix the aforementioned graphical bugs. Like with me.
