I used to play a game which punished people who Alt+F4'd during or not long after combat. I think implementing some sort of punishment like an auto detection, if someone is shot upon and the bullets are within a certain range of there body/character or if they are hit or hit someone and they Alt + F4 or disconnect somehow that when they relog on any server they are spawned somewhere like a cell and will be stuck in there for 30 minutes. I've seen this done on San Andreas Multiplayer, very old game but they still managed to code such thing, anyone think this is possible + good idea?

First Alt +F4 / DC = 30 min timeout. Second = 60 min. Third = 3 Hours. Fourth = 8 Hours. Fifth = 24 Hours. More feedback please? Thank you.

Can anyone please leave a list of servers they know that are populated, EU-UK preferably, which have a decent skill level of players, 3DP off - min veteran difficulty. Just a server which has groups of squads and is not empty inland. Thank you.

I do remember reading a post from a mod which said they were removing tents. I think it's been removed I should have double checked before posting :) haha. Still a good idea tho? ^^

DDR2 ECC RAM < You want DDR2? You want DDR3 it's not important just saying. XFX ATI HD5450 < Graphics card is really low end cheap, about 25£ There selling it with windows XP to. Do not buy that for 250£ they built it for around 80-120£ max and it won't be able to play DayZ that smooth.

I just come across a post explaining how you guys suspended a server that isn't running battleye or whatever it is called. Just simply change the filter to battleye required to no and punish these others, there's a lot of them.

I keep seeing post after post after post complaining about being shot, it's rather annoying, here's my reasons for shooting other players. 1. It's fun. 2. It's more of a challenge then killing zombies. 3. Excitement. There's hundreds more reasons to be honest but lets put it this way. So lets say there weren't any bandits? What would you do, go grab all the best gear you can then go around the map shooting zombies? I'd give the game a day or a few before it becomes totally boring and stale if the only thing you would do is kill zombies. That's the only point I really have to make in this argument, you could explore this map within a day without PvP and then just be totally bored from killing hundreds of zombies with ease. The only people complaining are those that are dopple and run around fields in the open unarmed or expect people to just let them live because they said friendly. If you don't like bandits/PvP take your time more, be more stealthy and don't run around Cherno or Elektro. The only solution you could have is not to punish bandits like people are suggestive but to make a system that simply rewards people who work together, possibly a task that can only be completed with 2-4 players and stuff.

@Masok88 If I see an unarmed person I won't shoot, if I'm getting really hungry and don't have food or I'm really thirsty and I think they will have a drink I will shoot. If there unarmed and I'm all okay with supplies I will leave them be. If they were wise they wouldn't run around in the open and if they do not like being shot at the should simply stick in the tree's, I have dodged at least 100bullets on this game, due to the bullet delay it's rather easy to avoid gunshots via zigzagging and making your movement very unpredictable, I'm not saying bandits are all great, there are a lot of Aholes I have encountered personally and raged down the mic at for shooting at me when I'm unarmed and have practically nothing, but if they want to waste 10-15 bullets on killing me for 1 bandage and a flashlight they can feel free :)

Okay so I'm getting a lot of FPS issues at the moment. I think my specs are rather good, besides my old GFX card but still powerful enough to play this game judging by the recommended. 8Gig of Ram. 9800 GTX+ (GFX) AMD Phenom II x4 840 > Quad core 3.2GHZ I'm having huge FPS issues, 30max'ish at the moment, regardless of graphics settings, highest or lowest. I'm looking into overclocking at the moment to play this game more smooth. I have friends who have mid-low range cards with less power then mine getting way more FPS with CPU's around the same as mine. Windows 7 OS to. Thanks for reading, help would be appreciated.

Strange, I just tried something there on singplayer. The video setting I had it on default with a solid 58 FPS. I put it to very high, it stayed on 58 FPS. I put it to low and got 72 FPS average. Why is everyone telling me to keep it on default so it uses all my video RAM and shtuff?

---------------------- Don't wish to disrespect your hardware, but the 9800 GTX+ was released in 2008. That makes it nearly 4 yours old. In my book, a graphical card has out lived it's use after 3 years. --------------------- The recommended is an 8800GT, an older card then mine, I play games that require more graphical power then Day Z at much higher settings and frames per second, there are people out there with 580's that are getting 15-30 FPS. I've tried tweaking a lot of settings in the Nvidia control panel and stuff I will try to tweak even more once the games up. Just changed more settings in the profile .cfg file. Thank you all for the reply's I will give it a few more try's then try overclocking.

I've tried a good few tweaks and a lot of video options. My rig itself is kept nice and clean, not much CPU usage, no processors running that don't need to be. One question that may help me out, is the game more GPU heavy or CPU? Will try the higher 3d res then native, haven't tried that yet.

Hey people, recently bought Arma II CO just to play DayZ, just quick questions about the FPS I'm getting. I joined a server last night, average FPS of 30-40. I could handle them, today tho I'm getting anything from 20-30 max. Earlier today I was getting max of 20. I know my specs should be able to handle this game on the lowest for around 40-60 FPS min. On medium 30-40 IMO. When I change graphics options I don't seam to go up or down frames. I don't know what it is, I get the same frames on 1024x768 as I do 1920 resolutions. And the 3D res set as the same as the normal res. Is this just issues with the latest patch as I have read a few threads about the latest patch causing big FPS issues. Any know tweaks to boost FPS by 5-10 frames, let me know please.
