You can't argue 'oh well thats how the apocalypse would be' when its quite apparent there are mechanics in the game that 'are not how the apocalypse would be.' So move along. Hey, I'm PandaSandwich! on Steam if you're interested. I live in TX so I tend to stick to servers in the southwest for better ping. I haven't stabbed anyone in the back, but I did kill an unarmed survivor for leading a conga-line of zombies straight to me.. so take from that what you will.

Ladders, man. Freaking ladders. I overstep by a hair trying to get the "climb down" prompt and my character takes a 2 foot fall and shatters his legs then bleeds to death. It's like my shins are made from balsa wood..

Uh.. don't get hit by zombies? Frankly, there's not much else that can be done. I've started bleeding off the first hit and there's been times I've gotten slapped 8-9 times and come away without needing to bandage. Also if you're running from zombies - serpentine!

Just haul ass through Cherno or Electro to pick up items. You can sneak but you're largely wasting your time by doing so until you've actually got something to lose. Honestly, how attached are you to that bandage and flashlight? On your way out of town, yeah take it easy, but if you're fresh off the beach - caution is for the birds.

Just started playing the game today and I'm not the least bit put-off by not starting with a weapon. I found the sense of vulnerability very refreshing in a world where our games tend to load our trousers with no less than ten high-powered rifles, shotguns, hand-cannons, and explosives. Honestly, the best weapon in the game for dropping zombies is the Hatchet, if I'm not mistaken. Silence is precious when a stray gunshot attracts the scope of every trigger-happy sniper within a mile (not to mention any zombie in the immediate area). No ammo to take up space. Just funnel your zombies in a hallway and start hacking! Steam: PandaSandwich! Status: Friendly(ish) - You can't be too careful with strangers... Add me to buddy up!

I've died mostly to zombies who clipped through walls when I went by. Other than that it's just been careless stupidity as I get used to the game. It's a little frustrating to sneak past a huge group and be on my way out of town when one just screams, clips through the wall, and starts slapping my face. Which alerts all his friends of course.

Hello! New to the game, but not to the genre. Looking for a couple people to play with and survive. I haven't encountered a single survivor in playing so far but I've gotten myself killed more than once just getting used to it. Anyway, info is at the bottom.
