You're just having bad luck. If you really want to find a balanced server, then try out Balota Buddies. We don't have that crap. But just search around, you'll find good ones. Maybe play on public hives for a while.

Yes, and after you install them, you have to run ArmA 2 and ArmA 2 OA for DayZ Commander to be able to find their install location.

Given the Great Can Dispute of 2013, and what happened because of it, I think that the developers and moderators still need to be honored and recognized, perhaps like how DICE did in Battlefield 3's Wake Island map: Of course, this would not be dedicated to the players for playing the game, but rather towards the developers for their service and effort. This could perhaps be placed in a small, hard to reach area of the map, or maybe perhaps hidden in plain sight, like at the foot of the bronze statue in the Cherno square. As far as I can see, this has only benefits: The developers and moderators are recognized for their hard work and dedication "We gave DayZ an easter egg. Players love easter eggs." There is no major change to the core game, so people won't complain about it being immersion-breaking Thoughts?

No no, not the statues themselves, but rather the plaques underneath featuring a thanks. It would be a pleasant surprise to anyone who saw it, expecting something else. I think that a separate plaque for each would be too much, unless they were scattered around the map. The billboards could be paired with Vasily's soviet propaganda-style posters that he's been making lately. If he was asked to make posters about the devs and mods to put on billboards, with easter-egg worthy puns, then that would be marvelous.

That's not the main point of what I'm suggesting here. It doesn't matter if it doesn't seem like it's that big of a deal to you because people are whining anyway. This would make both sides happy and solve the whole dilemma, no matter how much a big of a deal it is. A problem is a problem, and this is a solution.

The best advice I can give for getting good at the game is to play a lot, learn the map, learn to match gunshot sounds to their guns, and find a team. Meeting up with someone randomly in-game probably won't get you a long-term friend, (usually not even a short-term one), so make sure to browse the forums for people that are eager to play with you and your playstyle and skills.

Are you using DayZ Commander? If not, get it. It's much better than the standard ArmA 2 one and you can limit your search for servers to ones within a specific ping range. THis means that someone living in, for example, the USA, can limit the ping search to 100ms and will probably find a server in the USA or a nearby country.

There's no need to post three different threads if all of them could be seen in the "Recent Topics" tab at the right side of the forums. And posting them within an hour of each other isn't going to gather more people. Two or three hour intervals are fine.

Stop posting multiple threads. You're only annoying people and will probably get a temp ban.
