That CPU needs to be incinerated. 2.4ghz is absolutely worthless with ArmA 2, because of all of the items and models and articles that need to be rendered and noted. 3.4ghz or bust. -

I'll check this server out, but I would find it more enjoyable if you started with the basic gear - just a bandage, flashlight, and painkillers. It's more rewarding that way when you find meds and food on your own. -

Reminds me of a similar experience I had in Battlefield 3, except I DID have Fraps rolling. -
If they're going to be so rare and possibly in bad condition when found, as you suggest, then there's really no point in having them at all.

^this As I've seen in the DayZ Subreddit and the Gallery section of the forums, there are a lot of talented artists that play DayZ. It would be no trouble at all to request some fan art/models/ideas that could be implemented in the standalone. -

That's not anywhere near enough information to get you unbanned. Appeal to Battleye, we can't help you here, even if you specified what server it was, name of the admin, etc. -
Planetside 2 manages to have about 2,000 players while on a huge sized map. of course, it's not the size of the UK, and there are still a good amount of issues and networking problems. This doesn't remove any of the fun though. However, if DayZ manages to somehow make a really optimized finished product, then maybe, just maybe, we can have that sort of scale. Still, SOE, the makers of Planetside 2, have tons more resources than Rocket and his motley crew of programmers. It would be highly unlikely that he would even consider such a huge development.

I think this could cause some strain on the engine, but more importantly, I think it could ruin the "feel" of DayZ that we've all come to know and love. This would kinda make it more like The Sims. Agreed, there should be some more character customization, but not on that big of a level. -

This adds to the conversation how exactly? It's not that big of a deal. In response to the OP, I agree with this idea. It would satisfy the nit-pickers and the guys who want a little more immersion in the game (don't we all?) and it could show that you've stayed alive for quite some time. -

Looks like possibly the Zelenogorsk area. If you have a map in-game, you could set a marker on where you want to go (shift+click) and find out how far away you are from there. From there, you could either run there if it's close, of manipulate the markers a little bit to find out where you are. -
So I've heard a lot about this ArmA II Mission called Wasteland. I don't know how to play too well (I know the basics from YouTube videos), I've never been able to join a server because it keeps telling me something about addons, and nobody on the web so far has been able to shed some light on this. It looks like great fun. If you guys could supply some tips as well, that would be great.

Know the hotspots, know where to find vehicles, know how to quickly get started from wherever you spawn. Just remember: When you first start out, you are at your safest. You have nothing of value and people will be very friendly to you, including most bandits. -

No offence, but all of those parts are pretty much crap. You won't be able to play a flash game at 40 fps with that. Get a new rig, or at least try to clean out any dust and/or get a new case.
