He asked if he should bother playing the game. If you want, but don't play in any serious manner (you shouldn't anyway, it is alpha). He also asked if he should update to the latest beta patch. Seeming as it is mainly for ARMA 2 not, DayZ. And, on top of it, it seems to get players banned for nothing. I would refrain. Stick to 95417.

Turning Vsync on and off in Cherno, helps me. Turning Vsync off in Balota, helps me. It is a temp fix, but it seems to work for most.

I played on CA1 and for the first time in a while, I had a great experience. I still maintained my KoS mentality and they were fine with it. Who cares if they spawn themselves weapons. Eventually, you will find a newbie with a weapon that he/she shouldn't have and you can just take it from them. Then, it is game on! I'll be going back. Plus they have side chat. Glorious side chat. "Friendly in Electro..." I'm on my way, broham!

That was on the 104 Chicago server as well. It is a hacker, for sure.

I know not which you speak of. I still get one shot'rs all the the time. Only people that can't aim complained about the "nerf."

I had three goobers in Electro try to tell me to put down the hatchet, once. They all had weapons (pistols - two had primaries on their backs). I had had a run in with them about 10 minutes prior and they got me (unarmed - they wasted around 4 clips each from point blank range). I started dancing around and used a voice to disguise myself. I then told them who I was and they opened fire on me. It was quite a show. They wasted a few clips each, not hitting me once. I then proceeded to tell them, "my turn" and attacked the first one with my axe. "I got something for you" As he pulled a nade out and threw it at his feet. I ran behind him as he blew his dinky lil nutsack off. One down. I then broke the legs of the second person. And he died a minute later. I proceeded to chase the last one as he was talking shit to me about how I am an asshole, and I am mad. I finished him off. He DC'd so his body would disappear. No worries. I did it for the lulz.

You don't have to use STEAM at all. I have both on STEAM and I don't use steam to run DayZ. Just look around on youtube for instructions.

You can go way up North and hide in a tree. Then when you kill a zombie log out for a day or so. Rinse/Repeat. Sounds fun, doesn't it? Seriously, though, man up! It is the Post-Apoc. You want ppl to hold hands skipping towards rainbows? 9/10 times if you help someone, especially giving them a weapon, they will shoot you.

For BI to fix this problem, they would first have to care. They don't.
