*Is there no chat? And are you using Direct Chat? Direct chat is used to talk to players within 40m with text, and within 100m with a Mic.

I'm fairly new to this game, but I managed to spray my akm into a gentleman with an M14. But it says "M14 AIM" and not "M14 EP1" like it does on the wiki. It looks just like the EP1 on the wiki. Is this common to have a different name or is this weapon hacked? If it is hacked I'd like to lose it ASAP.

Thanks for the help, I guess I lucked out Barely got out with it, this game is pitch black at night, had to rely on muzzle flash just to see the Zeds ripping me apart haha. Great weapon!

Certainly is a shame if it is glitched or people don't understand how to use it. I think increased use of DC would certainly lessen the KoS deathmatch. Definantly makes running into a stranger in the city a lot more tense when you can't even communicate with the guy. Lack of communication is definantly a leading cause of death in Chernarus,

I was playing on a server, doing just fine, until I die, but that's normal. The loading screen, etc. was taking longer than usual, but that can be expected in a high population server. As soon as I spawn I am a bird, and all I could use is group chat. So I've heard about what FADE can do, and panicked and aborted, after that I respawned on the coast, as a player. Even if I returned to player form, I am a bit uneasy. i don't appreciate being accused of being a pirate. I bought this game on steam, and play via SixLauncher, and the fact that I am being needlessly punished is, frankly, bullshit. I did see the "Warning: Illegal Copies may Degrade" message on that server as well. I truly enjoy this game, but if I'm going to be labelled a pirate, and my game fucked with until it is unplayable, I may as well quit now. If anyone can explain why this is happening I would appreciate it. Has anyone else experienced this?

Wouldn't it be a bit odd that nobody knows how to use chat? I would assume at least 1 of them would understand, but they all just stared blankly. I even told one dude how to change chat channels and how to chat. Still, nothing... Not even a response in another language. Anyone else have this issue? i guess I'll just have to use a mic.

Good idea using codes. Only issue, is it is impossible to let all Friendlies know the code, without Banddits also learning of it.

So, I was just playing some DayZ, running from the zeds, when I see this message come up. I didn't really think much of it at the time, and shrugged it off as just an auto-post by the server. But now I hear that it is a sign that FADE/DEGRADE is slowly destroying your game? I bought this game on steam 100% legit, and play this game via SixLauncher, so I don't believe I've done anything to warrant such a response. I just don't want to have my aim go to hell, and turn into a damn bird. If I can get any help on this, it would be appreciated.
