I know many will say the enfield for sheer power. Though, it's audibility is a rather great disadvantage, and slow fire rate. While the winchester is faster, and quieter, it is much less powerful. I've actually had alot of fun with the winchester. Ammunition for both is rather common, moreso for the enfield. What are your opinions on these weapons? Which do you prefer?

He said it took place over the course of an hour, so the story is a bit condensed. We have no idea the exactly how long they waited before exiting.

No-one can help you here. It's pretty obvious that you're a script-kiddie. battleEye doesn't have too many, if any, false-positives as far as I'm aware.

Nevermind

Because you use scripts, maybe? BattlEye doesn't just auto-ban you, but once there are enough instances of "suspicious" activity. (ie. using hacked items, etc.), you are banned by BattleEye.

DO NOT REPLY TO HACK THREADS!
ratfever replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Saying anything is silly. The less attention they get, the less profitable it will seem. Click the thread, report, leave. That is it. And good job, Matt. Assuming it was you, as you're looking at the thread... -
I understand that Cherno is supposedly the "danger zone" and everyone claims that they head to Elektro instead. In my experience. I've had my fair share of run-ins in both places, but Elektro seems to be more heavily populated. It may only seem this way due to the high concentration of big looting areas, and Cherno is a bit more spread out? Is Cherno perhaps losing it's title as the most dangerous of the coastal cities?

Another silly topic; Why'd you shoot me, man?
ratfever replied to Inception.'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
My mistake, from the wording in your post, it sounded as though he chased you firing at you for 10 min., then you logged. Again, my bad. -

I was under the impression that he was being chased. Is this not true? -

So you're admitting to DCing in combat? -
Server restarts seem to mess around with vehicles. This is a known issue.

How to get rid of "hackers".
ratfever replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Spreading any form of malicious software is illegal. Period. And don't get me wrong, I don't appreciate the hackers either, but that doesn't mean I'm going to stoop as low as to reak the law to stop them. -

This is illegal... no thanks. -
DayZ 'Hack Tool' Not a good idea.

Best thing you can do is ignore it. Do not post in their threads, it only bumps it to the top. Just leave them be, and they'll be gone. -
Generators - Allow us to power Chernarus!
ratfever replied to ratfever's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
That post is about powering large areas of the map. I'd rather just have places, that would have a generator, such as airfields or hospitals. I believe there are enough differences to warrant a new thread. -
Generators - Allow us to power Chernarus!
ratfever replied to ratfever's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Well, I'm not so sure it would work with cities, as most cities can't be entirely powered on one generator. But, perhaps a building or 2. -
Cherno is where many people go for loot. It is also near several spawns, so it is looted more often then other places.
-
Why have the cities been a ghost town lately? I went to Cherno with no gear at all, besides the starting gear. Luckily, I ran into a barn, and was able to pick up a rifle outside of Cherno. I was cruising Cherno for quite awhile, and ran into only one guy. near the apartments. I was on the roof, watching for players (Just overwatch, not hunting players). When I hear the quick chatter of gun fire. I hit the roof. Eventually, I got into a crouch and looked over the edge, he seemed to have thought I was dead, and was looting the hospital. I thought he was leaving, when he began heading toward the apartment I was in. I caught him on the stairs, and fired several shots into him. His AKS-Kobra only had 13 shots, so I passed it on for my trusty winchester with 5 mags. I decided to travel the town, and still ran into no-one. When I spotted the supermarket, and heard the sound of flies, my interest was piqued. I walked into the market, and spotted three dead bodies, but no living soul. I haven't played long, but as far as I've heard, Cherno and Elektro are hotspots of activity. So where is everyone? And this server had around 38 players online.
-
Berezino, huh? Wouldn't the population be even smaller, than in known hotspots like Cherno? I would think that the large amount of infected would turn players away.
-
So I got a map really for my first time. (I found one before, but died before I really got looking through it. And I see a blue dot that says "survivor", I can't tell if that blue dot is me, or if it is another player? I thought you couldn't see yourself on the map, but maybe you can? Some help would be appreciated.
-
Wait so is this like against the rules? I thought admins couldn't play with that kind of stuff, only banning hackers or other scoundrels.
-
A bit unrealistic in that aspect, I'd much rather having to figue out my location, as with a real map. Only thing that should tell you your location is the gps.
-
I guess it makes sense, although it does add an interesting aspect to the game. A bit like picking the pocket of another player.

What would you say is the best side arm? The one-shot kill M1911/Revolver? Or the G17 for it's large mag? Or maybe the PDW? What is your favorite sidearm? I currently have a silenced M9 and a PDW.
