Where do you find these guns? The best gun i have found is an AKM in the Barracks at NW Airfield. Does that mean the AKM will always spawn there or if i leave it 30 mins could a different gun appear there? Thanks

You can buy it off Bohemia and then choose to download it from steam. They offer that option. So you get the Bohemia price at 25% off and the use of steam. Done

If you have installed by steam i can run you though it quickly on this post. Its not to difficult.

The Barns with the red roofs 75% of the time have Shotguns + Rifles. Keep an eye out for them.

Go to the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead directory (for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead) and right-click -> edit on .cmd file "_runA2CO_beta.cmd". Search for ":run" near the end of the file. Add ";@dayz" without quotes to "-mod=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca". Run "_runA2CO_beta.cmd" and enjoy playing!

Can someone give me directions to the military base? What city/town is it near? I am probably being really dumb, but i cannot find it on my map. Thanks

Could not agree more. Hordes of Zombies in Woods, fields etc. So you just cannot sprint from town to town without worrying about what you run into.

I have seen clips of people at a military base with lots of tents, towers and surrounded by sandbags. Where is that? I have been to the airfield in the North and its not there.

Forget about the cities along the coast. You die far to easily at the start if you go there. Run north. Find a supermarket and you will be good for a long time. Then once you get better stuff tackle the harder areas.

I like this. Some good advice. Morphine is found in the hospitals. Lots of it. Its one of the first places i try to get to. As a sudden fall can cause the game to be over without it. Unless you wanna crawl for hours on end. I always carry at least 2 sticks.

I know, i don't like the thought of doing it. But shoot on sight has to be done unless you want to lose hours of gameplay. Its a sad day when i have to bury an axe into a complete strangers characters head. I so wanna be good.

It's Official. I am NEVER being a nice guy again. I try to help, but Ohhh no, people are not having any of it. In a nutshell: 1. Spend 8+ hours playing the game. 2. Doing really well, geared up to the max 3. All i need is a larger bag (which i am finding impossible to get, help?) 4. I head to BEREZINO 5. I hear gunshots when entering the city and see zombies going mad 6. I direct comm and tell the guys i will help out 7. I kill a large number of zombies. 8. Announce i am friendly 9. Get some med supplies 10. Walk round the corner DEAD!!!!!!!!!! FFS (Was shot from across the street, one shot and my leg broke, could do nothing, the guy finished me off. I was soooo PISSED) Shoot anything that moves is my new strategy.

#9 Make your way inland when you spawn. Ignore the big cities.

Guys and girls, Having an issue with my backpack. Nothing seems to be saving. I put 4 raw meat in my backpack and then I logged off. When I logged by on my backpack contained all my old stuff!! So I tried this out a couple of times and still the old items keep coming back, why oh why? Is this a known issue? It's stopping me from reaching my potential, :). Also where do I find other backpacks? Larger ones? Help me, you are my only hope. See ya Has anybody seen this before?

I have the latest Beta but i believe the server is a couple of versions behind. Will that cause issues?

A hacked heli has Mr T hanging out the side throwing snicker bars at you. :) I have no idea. Would like to know though. How do i know when stuff is hacked or players are hackers?

There is an option to talk to everyone in the game. I believe it is the blue option (forget what its called) Though when i used it a lot of people got pissed off from hearing me. I now think a lot of servers must have it turned off. The only way i know to comm in through Direct comm Msg or Chat within a given distance. If you are playing as a group i assume most people use SKYPE (i might be wrong about this though) I believe the group chat option is for when you are in the lobby. I am no expert
