You can't loot clothes that were being used at the moment of death. If someone has a ghillie and he dies, you can't pick it up from his body.

The gamemode of this game is "Free For All Deathmatch Unless You Know the Guy". You basically kill everyone who's not in your group. The game itself doesn't give any reason to cooperate and doesn't give any reason not to kill people.

Maybe psychology knows? Cause people are herd animals and in times of crisis we band together? It's been like that since forever. Of course you will always get those who depend only on themselves but I'd never say that would be the majority. If a zombie apocalypse would happen it wouldn't be the first catastrophe we're facing (although the biggest in scale) and wouldn't change our basic instincts. -

Right, yeah forgot about the shooting, just leg it. I actually went a bit west then south then east and back on the map. This spot is usually camped. -

Join server "canada 2" if it has correct version. You will be in debug forest around 2 km away from the west side of the map. You need to get onto the map and relog. Worked for me. -

It kinda comes naturally. First it's: get a gun, any gun will do, food and medical supplies. Then, get a better gun maybe AKM. Then, DMR or M4, ghillie, join/create a group, get a tent, more tents, start going out of the camp to raid stary or airfields and bring back the loot to the camp, in time stacking it to the point where you have no reason to get more. Maybe get some cars there too. And then what? You just go into a populated server and try to hold stary or something like that. At that point there is just nothing to do so people pvp. And obviously you do something else, what I'm describing here is what most people do, at least from what I've seen. And lets be honest, once you reach that point, it's kinda dull and boring. -
Or crash helicopter into cherno.

"end-game" =/= "end of the game" End-game is when you're still playing and expecting to get some more out of the game. If you have a camp full of military loot and you die and then run to it and you're back to being fully equipped, you're still at the end-game. You're not starting over. If you don't have a camp full of good loot then you haven't hit the end-game yet. If you kill a fully equipped guy within few seconds after spawning and take his loot, it's not endgame yet cause if you die you're back to square one you still need to loot and stack things up. To be at the end-game here you need a camp(s) very nice supply of weapons maybe cars. Basically you need to have so much stuff, there is no real reason to look for more (which isn't too hard atm because people dupe the hell out of good weapons). After you've no more reason to go and loot things, what do you do? You deathmatch. Try to hold stary or an airfield. That's the endgame here. Going somewhere with a great equipment killing people. -

What do I see? What are you going to do after you are in a group of 5 you all have ghillies, cars and a camp full of military loot? There is no more point in looting anything. So what else are you gonna do other than using it? -

ITT people who don't know what end-game is. It's what you do when you have a developed char. In every game with any development of your character, whether it's items or skills, there is an end-game. Here you just get the top items in the mid-game and there is nothing else to do. So people just pvp. That's the end-game of dayz. Deathmatch with military grade weapons in a group. You can't say that surviving is the end game of dayz because that would be just making a tent and filling it with water bottles and food and just staring at it. -

What? You said surviving is the end-game. It's not. There is just "don't die". Read my post again instead of answering based on the first sentence because 5 sentences is too much for you to read at the same time. End game is shooting people with the high-end gear. And that's the objective people made up because this game has no end-game. I'm letting people live. People have guns and they shoot everything that's not a part of their group. If they see me they will shoot me. I am putting myself at a disadvantage. I've never ever met a friendly in this game and I've been playing for some time. The "most interesting aspect of this game and the social and interaction with other players" consists mostly of snipers shooting everyone and not even looting. Stop making things up. I'm the one shooting people. -

There is absolutely no objective in dayz other than staying alive. People make their own objectives. And usually after getting equipped, the made up objective is to kill people (solo or in a gang) because there isn't much else to do. And yeah there are easy ways of surviving and there are hard ones. But why put yourself at a disadvantage. The thread would be in the same exact manner if you came here and said that military loot is for those who want to play the game in easy mode and that those who want to play it on hard use only einfields, and that it's not for everyone. -
Well, I've been fragging for a couple of years in many different games now. The number of times I've killed another player is probably beyond hundred thousand. I don't feel bad about killing players. That's why I think this game needs some kind of conscience meter, because players are players and they don't sympathize with pixels controlled by another player. Your other point, I don't really agree. There is a reason to kill someone who's around you but can't see you yet. Because in 30 seconds you might loose the sight of him but he will see you and shoot you. If I'm certain that he can't see me and that we're not going to bump to each other I leave them alone. Otherwise, I shoot first. The game offers me absolutely no reward for not shooting people on sight and absolutely no penalty for shooting people on sight. There is literally no reason (other than I'm making someone, somewhere angry) not to kill another player. I really hope it changes.

Wow reading more than 5 sentences is too much for you. How old are you? And you came here telling people how to play on hard and easy mode. By logic, those who play on hard are better than those who play on easy. Again by logic those who are playing on easy are worse at the game than those who are playing on hard. It's there in your posts. You don't have to word it out like that for it to have the same message.
