I am stupid? What a lovely irony. Okay hackers. Most of it comes from how arma2 handles multiplayer and commands and the anti-cheat is pretty bad. If you make a new game you make a better netcode so things can't be done cliendside as they are right now and you get better anticheat while you're at it. Bugs. Which game is gonna have more bugs. A mod made by few people on an engine that doesn't fully support things that are being put into the mod without being able to modify it or a game developed by a team with an engine made to work with everything? Disappearing loot is again fault of the netcode. New game - new netcode, made to again support the things you're trying to do in the game. And when the game doesn't have bugs, the netcode is good the servers won't crash this much. And ofc it's not gonna be like that from day one but all this is going to be possible on new engine and netcode, something you can't change in arma2 and thus can't fix these. tl;dr you don't know what you're talking about. -

Someone makes million notes. Crashes server or clogs inventories/lootspawns. And you can't limit it to 5 notes per player or anything since the engine is shit for this kind of thing. -

Because they don't sit and read all threads on the forum. Plus there are people constantly white-knighting and saying that it's "ok" or that there is no such thing. Easy, although time consuming way to cut down on it would be creating an official list of things that devs know about. But there is no real reason to do that. Devs don't mind that there are duplicate threads about things. -

There is no reason not to shoot people other than liking gambling and having a lot of spare time to start over almost every encounter. (unless you have some friendly servers, haven't seen one) It's not about loosing kit. It's about massive number of hackers in the game and lack of protection against them. Why are you talking about looting people's camps? It doesn't have anything to do with it. It's down to community to do something about it without more tools? He's here to give feedback about current admin tools. He's doing a good job testing the alpha. What's your problem with him saying that admins need more powers? What does all that have to do with lack of reason to cooperate (ie not shoot on sight) with strangers? This is about killing one of the mechanics of the game. Looking for loot is an important part of the game. But you can nullify it by duping. Once a member of a clan or whatever finds camo. 50 other people will have it within an hour. It's breaking the game. How is it bad to talk about it? -

Seriously are you that dense? I'll use this quote Part of the testing is giving feedback. About what's broken, what's underdeveloped and what's lacking completely. All these people are contributing to the development (because if there is no feedback how are devs supposed to know what needs to be done??) and you tell them to stop? Wow what a great alpha tester you are. And to all white-knights. Testers that don't give feedback are bad, don't you think? Testers that try to convince everyone that everything is perfect and tell people to stop posting about issues with the game are terrible, are hindering the development and should be banned. -

That's not the point. It's an obstacle in your way that you have to "conquer". And an obstacle that only requires time is a crap difficulty. That's why I said it's wrong way of fixing zeds. I agree. I even posted it in this thread. There are different mechanics you can use to have this effect. You can make zeds 5 times faster, and break your legs on first hit. Would that be fun? Or you can make them hard but also fun to fight. That's what I'm onto about here. I agree. Never said I don't? What? What is DayZ about? Not making me waste time? You make no sense. And right now I like the game. You are the ones who are suggesting something that would make the game worse. Because you seem to like when challenge in game comes from how much time you can dedicate to it. -

Oh I can't speak for the 90% community but some other guy can suggest something that's going to completely affect 100% of community. Makes sense. Difficulty coming from time or luck is shit difficulty. The difficulty should come from you being good at something not forcing you to just to waste a lot of time. You should be playing WoW. -

Because you want to force people to fight zombies (your suggestions make sneaking near impossible, and not everyone and by that I mean 90% of players don't want to spend 30 minutes crawling before getting into a barn). And at the moment zombies are broken. They are faster than olympic runners, run in crazy patterns, go through you, walls and doors. Do you really think it's gonna be fun fighting these things? And please don't go with the "rocket doesn't want this game to be fun" argument. If you make the zombies the main thing of this game and they are broken to shit and utterly annoying to deal with then what's the point playing this if you're not sado-masochist. -

Give them player speed. Make them tougher to encourage aiming for headshots. Increase damage dealt by them. Fix the animation. Because right now the difficulty of them comes from being broken. They see you from 500 meters and run faster than olympic runners, and most of the time you can't hit them cause they "step" forward while attacking you so they get "through" you and you miss. Loosing them is the only viable tactic against them. No point in sneaking or fighting. -

14 shots in the back to kill someone is realistic, right... Who the hell shoots people with secondary anyway? Apart from freshly spawned people who haven't found primary yet. And if you think I'm answering my own question, do you really think that things that make noobstomping even easier are for the good? And who in the hell shoots zombies and why would you do that? -

Make spawns on the coast. Make people spawn without weapons. Put weapons in towns and better weapons in stary and airfields. Bam you have the current state of the game. Because food/drink and zombies is of little influence. I'm not supposed to be looking for loot? What? I know the duping makes hunting for loot obsolete but you actually are supposed to be scavenging. And yeah, there is no PvE in this game. Kinda shame because like I said, if I wanted FFA DM on the entire chernarus, that can be made within 1 hour. Oh it's the "real world" argument again. Except in real life people help each other out during crisis and it has always been like that. And there always will be fiends praying on others but it won't be 90% of the populace. And how is it survival simulator if it's about FFA DM? Are you going to tell me quake was survival simulator too? -

If this game was what Rocket wants it to be he wouldn't be working on it anymore would he? Right now it's just FFA DM on entire chernarus with hotspots due to loot. You can make a map like that in editor in less than an hour. It has potential to be so much more, do you really think it's supposed to be so braindead and basic? -
