I snipe from cherno rooftops with an enfield or I go into close combat with m249. And even then if I choose so I could be immortal, just have to practice alt+f4 skills. -
1 animation and action at the time kinda reminds me of DOS games. The fact that you can't do 2 things at the same time gives me nostalgic feeling.

Killing zombies isn't fun, that's one of the problems. The close combat in arma is just bad. Plus the zombies constantly zigzag or do weird stuff, like when they are around 5 meters away from you, they suddenly get a boost and are next to you, hitting you and clipping through you cause the animation sucks.

You look for alt and f4 when in danger. You store your food in a tent and it never ends. -
I kill everyone on sight except my buddies. Why? Because: they can't kill me if I kill them first (even unarmed people can be dangerous they can either have an axe or weapon in their backpack or they can rely your position to their friends who do have a gun), I get to take all your things (maybe you don't have something I need, but hell, it's just few bullets not loosing much), it's fun to kill people, I'm not looking for more friends in dayz. There is not a single reason why I shouldn't shoot you except making sound.

I agree that they are poorly implemented. Still, they are supposed to be so rare that even if horribly OP they shouldn't be much problem. -

The 1shot kill sniper rifles are a problem only because of duping and inventory editing. That's the real problem and you won't have it in standalone. These guns are going to be extremely rare and so will ammo for them. Nobody's gonna go waste extra rare bullets on some freshspawns on the coast. -

To do something people need to get something out of it. Either it's fun to test something or it's not fun but really wanna help or you get paid. No one is paying me to test this. At the start I wanted to help and gave my detailed feedback and it pretty much ended in "it's alpha", "codfag", "stop complaining", etc, and I don't really "believe" in the dev team anymore, since they can't even temporarily remove the dead soldiers while they fix the artifacts but instead babble something about dogs. So the only thing that keeps me playing is having fun. But I find it very hard to have fun on public hive. Hacking just makes playing almost impossible. On the private hive you have admins that ban cheaters in a matter of seconds and anti-script scripts running so they even get autobanned. That's why I play on private hive. -
I think fuel should be rare not the cars.

You forgot that if I kill them first they can't kill me. Plus I might need other things like ammo or medical supplies. Plus I have fun killing people. The downside of KoS is loosing few bullets, making sound and loosing a (very small) chance of meeting someone friendly. I'm already playing with 3 other people. Don't need to put my ass on the line to try finding more. So loosing few bullets and making sound is the only downside for me for killing people. Which is like nothing compared to getting rid of potential threat, getting loot and just having fun.

Well if killing people is your proffered way of getting loot you don't have to go to hospitals/deerstands/shops/stary/nwaf and look for tools. It's more handy than you think. Who says he wasn't? If I'm wrong then he's dead, I don't feel bad about your pixels, I don't care. If I'm wrong, I'm dead, and I don't have that much fun having to look for loot again. I'm already playing with 3 other people. If you don't have anyone to play with then yeah those what ifs might be tempting to you, but not to me. Even then, looking for a group on the forum is a better way of finding friends than trying to make friends in game where everyone is paranoid and can shoot you. And don't give me that "human being behind the monitor", since I have started playing multiplayer games I must have killed million other players, why would I suddenly start caring about what they think about being shot by me?

Or maybe it's because once someone finds a good gun he gives it to all his friends and once one of those people die the killer takes the gun and does the same exact things? And then it happens again, and again, and again.

The mechanic shouldn't be there to force people to cooperate. It should be there to even out "friendly" and "kos" playstyles, because now "kos" has advantage over "friendly".

Well, they must have had fun shooting you then. And that surpasses loosing few bullets because that's pretty much all the downsides of killing you. Same for killing unarmed players. Like I said the game just gives you no reason not to shoot people.

I look at this in terms of pros and cons. Pros: loot, can't kill me, fun to shoot and challenge. cons:... I'm loosing bullets? Making sounds I guess. Now with the bandit skin I might loose stuff from my backpack the moment the skin changes, but that's a bug. Bandit skin? I don't really care, I assume that everyone is a threat anyway, plus most of the time I'm getting camo/ghillie anyway. Killing people on sight - pros over cons. That's why I do it. That's why everyone does it. I think there should be some kind of a penalty for killing people, now comes the argument "why punish a certain playstyle", how about why favor KoS playstyle? Both friendly and KoS playstyles should be equally valid, now KoS has advantage over friendly. I was thinking about instead of bandit skin, people with low humanity should be addicted to vodka (this is part of russia right? [tho in arma2 thanks to duping this idea is out of the window]) and if they don't they loose hp a bit / start shaking or something. Basically a reason not to shoot people. Because right now there really is no reason not to shoot.
