    Morphine

You can still have a good chance to find a bit at "military" locations. Deerstands, crash sites and firestations included, since they have those kind of infected around, which may carry morphine, too. Best bet is still a hospital.

    FUKEN READ!

Jeez, you can avoid this stuff if you're somewhat clever, cautious and / or lucky. Just change your tactic.
  3. Combine (DayZ)

    Silenced Sniper Rifles

    Well... this!

Sick of being Killed for no reason

'nother rant. But hey, not even making fun of you. You basically sum up a big problem. If you'd ask me, I'd be in favor of more muggings where people part ways alive, and stuff. Or not even muggings, simple trading or cooperation. But sadly those cases are rare... People have to communicate more.

Was fun while it lasted! It will make you laugh!

    Hah, oh wow! Nice one!
  6. Combine (DayZ)

    Satchel Charges!!

Check the loot map for it. You can get them, according to it. Simply a rare item.

    Millitary supplies

The thing with EVE is that all play on one big server. Not the case here, so "some additions" would really be nice.
  8. Combine (DayZ)

    Millitary supplies

As long as it does not spawn / get dropped in the middle of nowhere...
  9. Combine (DayZ)

    Millitary supplies

I like the idea of dyanamic events such as this. Why? Because it's somewhat dynamic loot that's not "sitting around". Imagine the situation, several groups or people spotting them drop supplies. A fight for resources begins. It could drop anywhere, won't be restricted to one static spot. Heck, imagine it lands straight on a roof or tree you can't access. Tough shit if you can't find some creative way to get to it, too. But also some kind of experience. So, why not?
  10. To clarify: Same for any loot spot? Or what about general spots?
  11. Combine (DayZ)

    Server default/option: disable grass?

My thoughts exactly. It kinda ... defeats the point of camo and all that upon a certain distance. So it should be higher.

    Ghillie Suit DayZ vs. CoD

Again, the skin, despite the picture you posted, SHOULD have green-ish camo GLOVES. I had them in both singleplayer and DayZ. May depend on the face or version you use. Really, the ghillie is not that bad. It could be a bit better if you'd add some foliage around it, leaves, etc. But it is pretty good, apart from the boots. Most of the time you face the (potential) enemy anyway, so that risk should be low. Also, in close ranges, try finding one with all the small bushes and so around. In a forest you'd hardly notice a non-moving covered human being. I mean, it's already hard to see an average survivor near a bush or so in a forest. Now figure the odds for a ghillie. Not impossible, but rather hard in most cases. Bottom line? BIG advantage. Even in bigger cities it is still one, depending on where you move or lie down, since the game lacks major urban areas compared to say, western places. There's still green stuff in between, that is what I mean. So on average, no matter where you are, in most cases ghillie = better. Or camo, for that matter. Standard gear offers too much of a contrast in nearly all areas and is random (client-side) anyway, thus you can't predict that anyway.

    URGENT: Two flying choppers?!!!?

On another note, while we're at the topic: How the hell would you re-arm choppers, by the way? I mean those Huey guns at the sides, for gunners to use. You'll run out eventually... Is there a way, or does it simply reset over time or via server restart? Also, what if you'd fly while the server crashes?

Most intense firefight of my life

Dunno about some negative replies here, but in my book that was all very nice and entertaining. I mean, even if we consider the swearing (let's be honest here, DayZ is rather intense), you freaking killed a whole squad on your own. In a funny way! Congratulations, I had to laugh.

    Ghillie Suit DayZ vs. CoD

Yeah right, gib, let's "award" players for killing, or rather, let's support simple gameplay killing. And again, dunno what face you use, but I have green gloves. Since that was mentioned again... The ghillie is fine as it is, I see no need to remove or further restrict access. Or, via killing, make it easier to get.

    Ghillie Suit DayZ vs. CoD

Come to think of it, they should've taken green(-ish) boots...
  17. Combine (DayZ)

    Ghillie Suit DayZ vs. CoD

Dunno about you, but my suit actually has green-ish camo gloves. It's, no matter how you spin it, a big advantage over any other current set of clothes (or possibly any other that may be added, unless there'll be a better ghillie). The only problem are long distances where foliage / small bushes won't get rendered, afaik, and possibly the black boots / weapon that may break camo somewhat. With the right position and weapon, even that can be overcome.
  18. Combine (DayZ)

Ability to Play as a Zed.

Somewhat ... weird. I possibly could see this in a future version, but then again, enjoy dying, I guess. You could be a somewhat more clever one as player, but would (have to be) limited to the same damage values.
  19. Combine (DayZ)

    Your first murder!

Mine? Was actually friendly fire. A zombie and a pal came running to the doorway. I somehow shot without hitting the zombie in front of me and instead shot my pal in the head with a revolver. Oh well... One way to break the ice, I guess.
  20. It's kinda funny to read about new bugs each version, it's like you have to survive bugs just as well as other more gameplay related hazards such as zombies or other people. DayZ - Rock(et) on!
  21. Combine (DayZ)

Use NAPA (guerillas) clothing for camo

While you're at it, you could as well add more clothes to customize further. Certain uniforms, etc. That would increase roleplaying abilities as well.
  22. Combine (DayZ)

    This playerbase...

To be honest, in those cases I can only shake my head most of the time. It implies a more "gameplay" approach, than a "realistic" approach (you, in a simulation, would NOT do that!)
  23. To be honest, some sort of "NPC intervention" would be nice. Even in some indirect form such as occasional, limited bombing runs (or artillery) on bigger places such as big cities or so. That way, you could also not "abuse" or "loot / farm" certain locations, and it would provide another possible threat while adding some sort of story (military engaging somehow).

If DayZ was Real, how would you act?

Depends on statistics of this infection, and how it works, to be honest. In this "small world" (it's way more connected than 50 years ago, and I don't just mean the internet) some pandemic could spread like wildfire. Do not underestimate one where the victims turn into cannibal killers that could infect others. Again, wildfire. But as opposed to some movies, I'm sure the resistance to this would be "higher", as you implied.
  25. Combine (DayZ)

If DayZ was Real, how would you act?

You know if you people would be really clever you'd already prepare, and not do it once shit happens, since you'd be ... to put it bluntly ... fucked, as all people will rush to places to loot / buy, thus supplies would be scarce over time. At least at markets, etc. In theory. And this is not even fearmongering. Depending on where you live, you COULD need survival supplies IN CASE of ANY catastrophic event where you may be cut off for some time. Hurricane, flood, etc. So basically, the sooner you stock up, the easier it will be once something happens. What you need is: Information / Knowledge (Books on how to do XY), Tools and materials (to actually use), and Food and other stuff (to get by, body hygiene, etc.) Don't expect to run out to the market to stock up for several months once something happens. You won't be the only one. The clever (wo)man however, has most of that already at home, stocked.
