    The drop chance should be really low on this. Actually, you could add a museum building that contains this AND other sorts of old historic gear in various condition.

    Give civilian clothes some bonus?

    True. On the other hand, consider that the same look(s) may become boring. I used to focus on TTSKO all the time. Then Gorka stuff came out. It was nice to have something new. Then to combine it with existing clothing. Now I turned my attention towards black clothing. And eventually I will aim for some civilian uniforms (police, firefighter?) once they become somewhat easier to obtain. And so on. The mix makes it interesting. Also, the look itself can be a (dis)advantage. People may react to a or consider a "paramedic" or "cop" different than someone in full military gear.

    You cannot really zoom, I think. It's still good enough and the fastest way to measure distance between you and a direct point, or at least the most accurate you can imagine. You use that big ... crosshair or box and put the target right in the center of it. If your zombie (what else, of course?) target is in a building or on it for some reason, take the building (or the top of it) as target. Hit it. Then adjust accordingly. I cannot imagine another more accurate way as the rangefinger works like the interactive dayzmap. But your own and the target location is more accurate if you hit it right. E: It should be noted that it's range finding or measuring is limited. I think beyond 1000 meters it will just say -X- or something. Or maybe it is related to your draw / view distance. Then again I'd say fighting (moving) targets beyond 700 to 900 meters is somewhat useless. (Yes, for all the pros, no need to prove me otherwise now :P)

    All Items/Gear Gone... WTF ?

    I only keep joining the servers I have on my personal favorites (ingame) or those that others join to conduct operations and whatnot. Because in those cases I know my characters will be save(d), and so far it worked every time. Only exception: Joining right after a restart. The possibility exists that it can occur randomly regardless, with a small chance. But if so, then it should be rare.

    That is the problem. That island is pretty much unique and in range for most people who want to go there. (Too) Many will still think they're clever or just take the chances and eventually meet other people there. Or hoppers that sweep the island. I gave it a thought first, but when looking at it and the map, I feel safer on the "mainland". Making it a viable location for living / surviving by adding more interesting items or places there will just increase traffic there.

    Let's get down to business. Greetings. There have been similar polls according to the tag check, but here we want to see the rough overview of what the people in the community prefer to play as: Good, neutral, bad. A player group would like to analyze the results and your participation would be greatly appreciated. It does not take much, just about 2-3 clicks and a bit of consideration. Self explanatory: Rather Hero player You mostly try to assist anyone if the situation warrants it. You may or may not have clear rules of engagement or tactics in order to avoid unnecessary deaths / kills or to encourage interaction with other players. You may or may not reserve the right to engage targets you seem "unfriendly" or suspicious by reports or gut feeling. This can generally be described as a more social approach to the game with friendly intent. Neutral - Depends You tend to vary or try to avoid people. You don't consider yourself a hero or bandit player on average or also change in between those depending on how you feel or if the situation warrants it according to your judgement. Rather Bandit Player You are usually out to get people's gear - and maybe pride. You are not looking for friendly interaction by default but social interaction nevertheless. You prefer to rob players and maybe dominate them. This can include things like force feeding them bad food or letting them go almost naked - but it may also include death at the end of any torture. People pretending to be friendly only to take advantage of others fall into this too. This can generally be described as a more social approach to the game with hostile intent. KOS Really? This needs a description? You get a weapon (and maybe ammo if it's not a melee weapon), perhaps some friends and you shoot or swing at anything else that is not known - because it might be a threat or because you think it's fun. Or both.

    200 votes, that is enough for me. You can keep voting of course, but the result is interesting. About half of all who took part seem to be "neutral" or mix up their gaming, sometimes good, sometimes outright hostile. That, it seems, opens the path for some more votes. I'll think of something and add some more if need be.

If you were referring to that: Using this external system gives me more flexibility, as I can embed this on my group site or any other place too. The potential downside would be that some people might be able to vote various times. Given the low number that took part in relation to the big community and actual player numbers, that should not matter though. Your assumption is surely correct. In some cases. But I personally doubt in all. Of course, I do not want to argue against your or general experience and assumption here, no. But as a player that is more oriented towards the hero playstyle I can tell that there's also people moving about in hotspots that are not primarily out to kill anyone, but help those who need help. It's just that most of the time we also encounter bandits / psycho KOSers. Since you cannot start communication well before in any situation, there could also be the possibility that random strangers or people that would otherwise be neutral shoot at us out of fear or assumption. And that's somewhat logical, not everyone has their motivation written on their arms and heads. Thus, communication / gestures are key.

    So far it seems that almost two third of people are flexible, opportunistic or, as that's included in the description, trying to avoid people. Even if we understand that about 119 or 120 people hardly make up all of the community, it can still serve as an average value. That is interesting if compared to personal experiences where it seems that most people are rather hostile. Because of yourself (or me, in that case) wearing full gear and a weapon? Trust? Risk / Reward calculation? Thanks for all so far, further studies may be likely. Unless more vote within a short time (some days perhaps), we'll use the values we have so far.

    GORKA Helmet is Bullet Resistant Confirmed/Tested

    No offense to all experiences you folks made, but can we also get some hard technical facts in to confirm this? Or are there, perhaps, other factors to keep in mind besides those, etc Last I know, someone posted statistics of like 3 head items and the ballistic helmet had the highest protection value out of those, with the gorka helmet being more decent or weaker (in comparison).

    Seeing as the map tends to get larger and filled with more points of interests, seeing a higher player number may be advisable. Even if it's just +20 than right now, or doubled (80). If you consider that many players usually stick to certain hotspots, then 150 almost sounds insane ... if most of those 150 end up in the same area, that is. Call of Chernarus: Modern KOSing 5

    I'd put that under "neutral", too, as it does include trying to avoid people by description.     Fascinating, of about 31 people so far, about half of those that took part seem to prefer neutral or changing methods of gameplay, followed up by heroes and KOS'ers, whereas classic bandits (as you'd imagine them) come last. Then again, for the sake of simplicity it's split into basic categories: Those who picked neutral may as well be part-time bandits or heroes, too. Need more data! Keep on voting! Thanks so far!
