Correct me if I'm wrong but the description even mentions protection up to or at military standards. Which could include that. In any case, damage should be significantly lower (or depending on damage, nonexistent) to anything in them unless you get turned into swiss cheese. Or so. -
You keep surprising me, KoS. No, really :D When I first saw you and some posts I thought you were like, "one of those" (as the name implies). But damn, despite that you like KOS you seem to have some more depth than most KOSers apparently. Or you are just bored :D

I hear there's various ways. Some are more "clean" than others (you gave an example already, quality should be shitty). I personally use software that separates it all cleanly. I can add sounds (to be played) but also alter my voice. To play sounds or short bits of music I just press the hotkey I set for it and then open VOIP. I set my primary mic to include voice changes and sounds, then set the mic to be used in Steam settings to that one, too. As for other comms such as Teamspeak, I use the "normal" mic. That's just a rough explanation on how one could do it. I use MorphVox Pro (the software). You can surely find other tools. Whatever you try, look up the specific guides first to get a good idea on the possibilities.

You know, Chernarus won't ever be the same now. Now it has some kind of mystery flair, far away from the coast and the wars there. Will totally keep the next walkie talkie I see. -
Some posts here imply every admin is a corrupt motherf'er trying to abuse any possible bit in the system... Without any of them you wouldn't be playing much. Some are surely "d-heads", but come on now...

F' yeah, bring in that kind of gear. 1) Realistic to see there 2) Good gameplay addition Technical stuff, values, etc: If we talk about riot gear, we'd talk about melee protection (mostly, I guess). Or very light ballistic protection due to the nature of it. They all want to reduce the amounts of (military grade) firearms anyway, so we should eventually see an increase of melee weapons. Or a higher importance of them. This would basically be a nice addition then. But don't just add riot gear such as vests, helmets, pants with pads, gloves or jackets (pads, padded, etc). Add alternative variants, some perhaps defaced or likewise for the bandits, some more pristine for any good people, and perhaps homemade variants altogether.

If it was classic combat logging (without any script cheater present to imply justified logging, or glitches): Pussy. But in that specific case, maybe it wasn't. Who knows. If it was I wonder why someone would run around there and then log off at the first sign of (potential) trouble. Really? -
It's simple. It's either intended: You disassemble a pristine gun and clean it, not really pristine anymore, as someone hinted above me. Or it's a bug: The game actually SETS any weapon state to Worn, NOT pristine. In any case, don't use a gun cleaning kit on any weapon that is WORN or better. It's not needed anyway.

Or you could just run at the fence and press V once right before it, as you run. E: Okay, I never tested holding it, but it's probably as reliable as it gets. Or did you mean exactly that?

You want to jump? Run and press V as you run at any speed. In the new version they fixed it, so you don't stop when sprinting. If you walk or stand still, you might just "step over". Anything faster results in vaulting.

I didn't necessarily mean your case. And maybe I put my words in a bad order. What I basically mean is: Anyone who's somewhat clever or skilled (just somewhat :P) would not get punched in the face by someone. And if that happens it should be a rare occasion. So basically, if you can even run up to someone armed and punch them, they were not clever, skilled or too trusting. Or just unlucky.

OH NO. ONE. IS DOWN. :D As for the signs, seriously, no need to add over 40. Or actually, you can but add their own section in the controls so people can bind as they like. Apart from that, just add the most basic ones and you're good to go.

Dunno, but for now it's against the rules to kick / ban people for anything other than confirmed cheating or likewise if people use public hive. Any suggestion about gamemodes in the server name itself is, so far, just one thing. A suggestion or wish. Nothing that can be enforced. -

Thanks to any posters actually clarifying that gas mask / mil gear doesn't necessarily mean KOS kiddie every time, because that's not the case. Not always. -
I don't really agree with people saying Heroes should be out in the open all the time or in (potential) high traffic areas. A dead hero is no good to anyone. I think there is no "THE hero", but different types of them just as there are different types of bandits. From the (cough stupid cough) KOSer to the semi-nice-guy-robbin-hoo- ... you get the f'in picture. Likewise, others can be very nice up, others could nearly act like a (classic) bandit and restrain or order people before they give any help, as some sort of safety measure. Bottom line is your intention, not your playstyle. Even if that may assist or hinder you greatly in achieving your intentions or showing them to others. Any hero-like player deserves at least some respect for having certain "balls", as some would say. Keeping calm is probably among those. Guess I became one in some way. No, no medal please. 'tis just mah duty.

Maybe people tested it, but it doesn't seem right. Why? I just saw a video where a guy shot people dead with one (NOT sawn off) at a distance of 10m max. Insta kills in row. Maybe lucky ones, maybe certain ammo, but still. I wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of one in close range, really. -
... and then he got shot as he went up the stairs! But it apparently works. Try repeating that with a sawn off. Might work ... different.

The above balaclava seems a bit funny to me. Must be the "edges". I'd like some balaclavas, actually. Maybe different meshes, not just textures (colors). It's not like you wouldn't find any there, for any critics. In cold regions could even be semi-standard, I assume.

@ EP2 "You're a good shot" That made me laugh. It's kind of hilarious that (at least in the video) some of the KOSers can't even hit anything. And this guy was a naked and unarmed guy with no gear. Imagine people shooting back. I still feel slightly bad for anyone just shooting or abusing you somehow though :/
