Medic Austin

Hello! My name is Austin and I've been playing Dayz for nearly too long, but that doesn't stop me. I'm currently looking for an active private hive server to settle down in, and possibly bring a few friends with me (we're not a clan, sorry, we just like to play on the same server and occasionally work together). Preferable Criteria for the private hive server: 1. Active server [More than 5-10 players on at most given times] 2. Some form of anti-cheating implimentation [Antihax, etc] 3. Not too many more vehicles than original DayZ [No specifics here] If your server also has a ventrilo, mumble, teamspeak, skype group, or other form of communication associated with it, that's a plus as well. If your server seems to meet my minimal prefered criteria, feel free to leave a post with a link to where I could potentially read more information. Thanks for your time, and I look forward to adventuring on your server, Austin P.S - I was previously (still am, but sort of retired for the time being) a medic for RMG, which was a major group in Doctor Wasteland MD's "Request Medial Assistance" thread. This small fact may help you to understand what kind of person I am, as I am very proud of my accomplishments as a medic. Though for every medic action, I have an equally opposite bandit action, so beware. :) Cheers

I hope the community can generally trust my opinion, seeing as how I was one of the most active medics in the request thread. The admins here are not corrupt. Childish individuals will not be tolerated, and as a result, will be banned and exiled from the community. We're looking for a fun, mature community of people to be apart of this great server - and so far it's going great. Come join the server and have the time of your life and meet some great people. I thought I had a possible server, it was looking really positive. Then they changed to Takistan and maxed out vehicle spawns. Sad face. Still looking for that one special server :)

I'm taking a break from DayZ. Too many run-in's with hackers recently. Everything from teleportation, global nukes, as50 thermals, etc. I'll probably be done until the standalone game is released, or until this is fixed up. Enough is enough.

A few points I'd like to share: 1. Stop wearing that avatar like your a bad ass. You know not of what it means, stands for, and have no proper affiliation with Anonymous. Your either a script kiddie or a want-to-be, neither of which are liked by us. 2. Your "war" on medics is quite pointless. We don't discriminate bandits from survivors, one day you might even come to have some nice gear and need our help, then what? 3. You're either supplying us with your gear and pack of goodies, or being a minor inconvenience. Most of us take enough medical supplies for 2 patients, and take a sidearm or primary to defend from zombies. Though, be warned, most of us are a pretty damn good shot (most of us are ex-bandits, or have previous marksmanship experience) and will take you out without a second to spare. So you'll be writing stories about how you killed a bandit who was just trying to help some survivor, that's surely going to be popular among the forums. Will you also write about the times you get slaughtered? I feel like the later will happen quite more frequently, and I personally, would love to hear of your failures and our successes. We'll/They'll bring you Water, Food, apply a blood bag, whatever you need, without asking for anything in return. Raised your blood pressure? That doesn't sound like a good thing :D ! Glad you had a positive experience ;) ALSO, IMPORTANT NOTICE TO MEDICS: If any of you are in need of antibiotics, let me know. I now have a lot of them (A lot more than I need at least) and will give some out to frequent medics. The antibiotics are in a tent towards the south, so I would prefer if you could come to me, if at all possible. Just send me a message anytime if you need some. Cheers

Hello, My name is Austin and I've been playing DayZ for just over a month now. I have enjoyed the game up until this point, playing as a medic and support field agent (Primary Sniper) in my squad. While on a rescue mission, I boast never having had a member die with me as their support. I say that with a lot of pride knowing we've had quite a few potentially dangerous encounters, and a few tricky situations. Quick "About Me (in DayZ)": - My best weapon and/or weapon of choice would be a sniper rifle (My favorite being the M24) - I have received numerous compliments on my sniping abilities, and hold pride when it comes to my skills as a sniper. - I'm very team oriented, and realize (and fullfill) the "team comes first" aspect of group play. - I and many others find myself to be very loyal and trustworthy, I have been placed on the whitelist for Medics on Dr Wastelands thread (I'm a staff/admin of RMG) - I own 2 CD Keys that I play with - One which I will be doing mostly medical work with, the other which I hope to be joining a group with (The aim of this post). The 'hacker loadout' ( .50 cal, M4A1 silenced, NVG, rangefinder, wookie outfit). You're calling a lot of people "hackers" then. Few things: 1. They're crackers/script kiddies, not hackers. 2. The "hacker loadout" you mentioned is a bunch of bull. With all the duping going on, finding one camp or killing one player results in almost full end game gear. 3. Server Admins can apply certain "fixes" to their servers to prevent certain aspects of exploitation - message your fellow server admin and ask if they can enhance their server.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying you have to call them crackers instead of hackers, I'm just hoping to clear up some of the ignorance that some people may have of the subject. While most of said users are script kiddies, we would be ignorant to assume such a thing, right? Though, I would be inclined to believe you are correct.

Would you mind briefly answering this? I'm curious and would like to know more about your group. On a level of 1-10 (10 being the highest), how would you rate your: Communication: Professionalism: Marksmanship: Navigational Abilities: Humor: Group (How would you rate the entire group as a whole, in general): If there's anything else that's special about your group, you should mention that as well. And just as a general tip, you should include a time zone so that people know your playing times (to see if they can match such times). Cheers

I wouldn't recommend closing applications to snipers. There may be a better sniper out there, a better teammate, a better something related to sniper, looking to join a group such as your own. One that is better than one you may have recently accepted. If your really serious about your group, I'd do some marksmanship tests or something of the likes. Too many kids run around the forums saying "I'M A SNIPER I'M A SNIPER" because they think it's cool. Video games glorify snipers, so every kid in the world thinks if they have a sniper rifle, they can snipe with it. Just my two cents. Good luck with your new group.
