Good idea. Maybe they should be restricted to military areas. Why would residential areas have MRE's?

Then suggest a character customization feature, not a feature that completely goes against everything that this mod is.

None of these are very good suggestions in my opinion.

I really hope rocket never implements something like this. There's no markers above your buddies heads in real life. You can most certainly shoot you're buddy in the head in real life.

I like this idea. Instead of a thread, though, make it a whole forum. This way people would get more responses than in a single thread. I also do GFX and would like to show off some of my work.

If you're computer can't really handle the free-to-play, then you should invest in a new system, or new parts. The actual game will require a little bit more performance than the free-to-play.

You're video card is good enough. To get a little preview, try out the Arma 2 free-to-play version. See if your computer can handle that. I'm sure it can.

I agree. Since I downloaded the new update, it seems that I cannot make it 2 minutes in Cherno without agroing zombies, even though I'm being as cautious as I ever have been. When I first spawn, I like to go to Cherno and see if I can loot the city without getting shot up. This is impossible with the new zombie behavior. And as a fresh spawn, I have no weapon to defend myself. I am scared to scour smaller villages and towns for loot and weapons, as the zombies are packed closer together, making it even harder.

I don't like having the music on. It takes away from the realism, and it's just another thing that hinders my hearing in the game.

I aim for Cherno when I first spawn. My second day playing this game, I decided I would run into Cherno and see what I could find. I found sooooo much good stuff. I loaded a whole Alice pack (taken off dead guy on road at spawn) with morphine, ammo, food, drinks, bandages, blood packs, literally everything I needed to survive. There gun shots going off all around me, yet I stayed unnoticed. I took off from Cherno after compltetely filling my entire inventory with very useful stuff. I zig zagged through a field to avoid a sniper shooting at me and made it safely to a different part of the map. Unfortunately I wasted a bunch of ammo on some zombies and got greedy and tried going back to Cherno to stock up again. I entered a room off a building yelling "don't shot, friendly!" But the motherfucker lit me up with his automatic gun. Luckily he was very bad and I killed him with my Lee Enfield. Too bad I bled out very quickly and died. Now I try to spawn as close to Cherno as I can. Unfortunately my last few spawns have not gone so well. People just kill to kill, they didn't even bother looking at my inventory. Bastards.

I stumbled upon a working helicopter in Cherno. I got in and had no idea how to fly. Whilst button mashing, I managed to get roughly 3 feet off the ground. It took me back down and I couldn't get the thing to start up again. Anyone know the controls?

You make it sound like you absolutely have to server hop to survive when you're in a situation like the one you mentioned in your original post. Just be a man and accept the challenge that you are facing, don't take the easy way out you pussy.

I am decently geared, enough to survive a player-player encounter, and would like to have a friend to tag along in my journies. I am playing right now, and making my way to Stary Sobor, then the North West Airfield. I would like to play with someone who is cautious and knows what they're doing. I play very carefully and watch my back at all times. Patients is definitely something you MUST have. If you are with a group of people and would like to take me in, please PM me! Like I said, I am decently geared, have a mic, and can hold my own. I'm searching for better gear right now.

Thank you for the intel. Obviously it won't work if you're being robbed by a big group but if its one or two people, you could give it a shot. It certainly requires a lot of balls though. You will most certainly be killed if they don't fall for it.

If I was getting robbed, I would try to turn it around on the robber. I would say something like "no you listen to me asshole. I just respawned and I was making my way to my buddy. Luckily he is close and saw you coming up on me. He has his [insert sniper name] pointed right at your head. Now, I'm gonna face you and ask you to drop your guns and supplies. If you shoot or try to run, my buddy will splatter your brains all over the ground." If he falls for it, I win! If not.... fuck.

You will be fine. I run on normal with a laptop that has a worse video card.

I have read all the instal guides for Dayz. I know what to do. But must I do anything differently if I have Private Military Company, or will the high-res character models already be there if I instal the normal way?

Well if they don't comminucate back or cooperate then they are dead. They only have themselves to blame. I could care less if I become a bandit by trying to survive this way. It seems like the easiest way to try and help people without getting screwed over in the end. I want to help people and not be a bandit, but if I become a bandit trying to survive this way, then so be it.

When I get the game I will play like this: if I see a person I will try to sneak up behind them and say "don't turn around and don't move or I will shoot you" in the voice chat. If they do either of those, they are dead. If they don't, I will tell them to remain facing the way they are facing, and ask if they need anything. If they do, and I have extra, I will gladly drop it behind them. I will tell them to walk backwards until you see the item I just dropped. Once they pick it up, I will say "now walk straight and don't look back. If you do, I shoot." Once they are a good distance away, I will run away.
