I don't see why this should be in the suggestion forum or why the game needs a mechanic to support this. Two clans talk to each other, set up a time and place for a war, and that's it. Nothing needs to be incorporated into the game for this to work. If you want this to happen, make it happen. Bring the idea up to some clans or make your own clan to rival others.

Last night I had, hands down, the coolest dream ever. Now, I can't remember how it started, but that's how it is for most dreams, really. So I was in a public bathhouse. I had a huge LMG, not sure specifically what gun though. And in the bathhouse there were two giant tank-like zombies that just would not die. No matter how many bullets I put into their face and chest, they wouldn't go down. I remember thinking to myself, "Man I'm gonna make a post about this on the DayZ forum. This is ridiculous." So somehow I lose aggro of the zombies. The next thing I remember is it's night time and I just have a revolver. I see a guy (this is strange because usually people you know are in your dreams, but I've never seen this guy in my life) shoot another guy. So I get scared and go prone in some medium length grass. Now, it's nighttime so he can't see me when he walks by and goes prone in a corner nearby where two fences meet. We are in a residential neighborhood, by the way. So, I cock my revolver back and shoot at the guy. Hits him in the stomach. I take another shot. Hits him in the chest. I take another shot. Stomach again. Point is, he didn't go down, and was still live and well. I crawl over to him and we start talking, because this is how best friends are made. You shoot them three times and then talk to each other. So to our left is a house containing two bandits, as they are sniping people out of their two story house windows with Lee Enfields. So the guy I just shot three times decides that we should try to sneak around their house. As we're doing exactly that, the two bandits step outside right in front of us. Suddenly, my partner walks behind them. Then it hits me: he's with them! No wonder why I caught a glimpse of him and one of the bandits smiling at each other earlier! So I'm shot down with the Enfield. Dead. I respawn in that exact same spot though. When I'm in, though, one bandit has his gun on the ground right in front of me and the other two went inside. I pick up the Enfield and say "Fuck it I'll just shoot myself for you guys." I put the gun in my mouth and pull the trigger. There's no ammo! The bandit rushes inside to get his friends. I start running. No idea where I'm going. But this was the awesome part of the dream. I'm in a neighborhood with nice houses and yards and the houses are packed pretty close together. So I'm running through peoples' yards, avoiding the street obviously. A couple cars drive by and I'm just booking it behind trees and through gardens. I can hear peoples' TVs playing in their homes, and see old ladies sitting in their rocking chairs. Then I hop a fence into some guy's backyard. I heard moans and groans coming from his TV. I guess porn is necessary in a zombie apocalypse, although I haven't seen a single zombie since the two tanks. So I do some flips n' shit over this guys multiple fences (it was like a fucking maze in this guys backyard) and escape the bandits. I hear my name being called. Something about money and "what I should do with it?" I hear my name again, and again, louder and louder. My eyes open. It's my dad asking about Paypal. Fuck you Dad. Fuck you.

I keep respawning until I'm near Cherno or Elektro. I don't know why people complain how hard it is to gear up, when in reality it takes me 10 minutes to be ready to go North when I spawn near Cherno or Elektro.

I'd love to see a huge city, maybe 2? The country land in this game is awesome, as well as the vast forests and whatnot. Maybe some suburban areas outlaying the cities.

What program do people use to record videos, not specifically for DayZ, but for any gaming videos. Is it Fraps? Will Fraps record my voice when I'm talking on, say, Teamspeak or Direct Com.? I know there are programs that don't record your own voice, only what's playing through the speakers. I want to make sure I get a program that DOES record my voice too. What program do people use to edit their videos as well? I'm not looking to be a super hardcore epic montage maker, I just need a tool where I can cut clips, paste them together, and add music or audio or something.

Arma 2 is not a game, it's a military simulator. The whole point of a simulator is the realism.

Am I the only one who enjoyed this video? I am certainly against pointless PKing but I enjoy a killing montage every now and then.

Explain how an unarmed person is any danger at all? I could understand if I was armed, but... I'm not.

I was just at the firehouse, unarmed. I confront a person that's inside the firehouse tower. I say "Don't shoot, I don't even have a weapon." I repeated that about 5 times while we just looked at each other. Then I say, "Is it okay to come inside the firehouse?" and the asshole lights me up. Apparently I'm a big threat without a weapon.

Losing gear while swimming is not a glitch man lol.

You can inspect the bodies to see how they died. Saying how they died in the kill feed ruins the mystery.

Or get a vehicle? Easier said than done, I know.

You are correct. Surviving is another meaningful activity. Isn't that the main goal in a zombie apocalypse? In every single zombie movie? I think so. That's what you're trying to do when you play this game. You're trying to survive. If you don't think that's enough in a video game, then leave, because clearly this isn't the game for you.

I'm actually not a bandit whatsoever. One murder and I've been alive for about 50 hours. There is no point to this thread anymore. First you make suggestions, then you go on to say how bad this game is and you would rather be playing Arma 2. Then go play it! Nobody forces you to be here, playing this game. Most of the people that post here disagree with your suggestions because you are trying to make this game into something it's not. You create your own story. You deliver the consequences. That's the point of a sandbox game.

Then stop playing this game! Stop posting on the forums about how much you dislike this game and just leave!

rocket does not want to punish a play style. If you want consequences, kill the bandits. Don't have the game do everything for you.
