I kill them on sight. Every hero I've encountered so far was a Bandit trying to offer me help and then backstab me. You really can't trust anyone.

I initially stopped playing DayZ because of all the hacking, it was ridiculous. I died a total of more than 100+ times in DayZ, a shame that about 90 of those kills goes to hackers alone. I took a break from DayZ (in hope that the intitial Hype wore off and less kids play it now) for about 6 months and then fired it up again, 5 hours later I die to a script kiddie (no biggie I thought, lets find another server). Couple of hours later, me and my friend just die... again, and the whole server with us. Seriously ? I'm not an expert on Battle-Eye and how it works. but seeing it kick me for drinking a stupid pepsi or looking up how many people are on a server by pressing "P" is mindboggling when at the same time people can freely teleport around, kill all people on the server, turn themselves invincible and spawn whatever they like. Screenshot of yesterdays hack that killed me (Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds") [We killed a zombie a few seconds ago and suddenly all these birds came cawing out of the forest, we were too busy laughing and trying to figure out what was going on to notice that this was the work of a hacker. Used to DayZ this could've been a bug for all I know ]

You call that fixed ? Dead bodies on Balota and Stary still give me the issues, same goes for world and player player placed barbed wire. We've been running with these graphical issues for over a month now! I don't give a damn about your patchnotes anymore, is it so hard to get a few people to test if this is actually fixed before you pretend it is ?

It causes graphical issues for me, needs pixel-precise aiming to be removed and ontop of all is only used to grief... Yes, remove it! This is the most useless thing in a Mod/Game EVER!

I love this idea, would be sad to kill someone and see pics of him with his friends chilling at a fire, just trying to survive... It might be hard to implement but I'm all for it.

If what you're saying is true (as in you haven't cheated or something) then it's one of those f*cked up BattleEye bans, battleeye has been doing a LOT of bans recently, and to our "surprise" some of these were false negatives. They said they're sorting it out, in your case it might be a false positive as well. I'd wait for BattleEye to contact you, it might take some days however but it's sadly the only thing you can do. Let's hope for a positive outcome, stay frosty!

Valid Question, I'm a military fanatic, I own pretty much everything from hats,helmets,vests,boots,uniforms, nvg's,binoculars, etc. But don't worry about that, I'm not a crazed gunman, I despise weapon usage IRL unless provoked (like... REALLY provoked as in war terms) so I don't own any firearms. I rarely use the goggles though, maybe when a fuse in our box fries and I need to find it, I tend to have no flashlights or candles in the house. :lol:

This is true, a pair of nightvision goggles that I have has a bunch of diodes that emit a small IR light that cannot be seen by the naked eye. That alone is enough to illuminate the area around you up to a viewable distance of ~20 metres or so. I believe modern NVG's use another method than that nowadays though.

Since the Mod is running on ArmA 2, a Military Simulation you are given some kind of "features" you can do and what not. To give you a couple of tips. Carry a gun that suits your surroundings Open field? Go for L85A2, M14AIM, M16A2, etc., something that can hit easily above 600m City/Village? Take an M4,AK,AKM or pretty much everything that has full-retard mode (full-auto) or a shotgun with slugs preferably. Move from cover to cover, you can press "Enter" on your Numpad to switch to third person view, hold the "Alt" key to move the camera around freely, also works in first person but I find 3rd person to give you a much better view of your surroundings, also, when approaching critical locations, hold down Right Mouse Button to zoom in on the location and watch for movement, Zombies very far away 400-500+ metres can be a indicator of a player in the area (approx. 250m radius) Be cautious, best to move in a group/play with friends, ontop of all, DO "NOT" TRUST OTHER PLAYERS. They're dicks, they'll kill you. best to keep your head low, move quietly and check every corner before moving, best to avoid open streets or streets that can easily be covered from tall structures/hills.

I've died probably 6 times now in a course of around 3 months. 3 times to hackers, 2 times in firefights/ambushes/being outnumbered, once to Admin Abuse I have so far never died to zombies unless I did it to respawn somewhere else since the Respawn button is disabled now...

No, it does not replace your backpack, either take it as your primary or put it in your backpack (weapon takes up 10 slots).

Let me join in, the Mod's great, the community however is full of c*nts and a**holes. A few days ago my group killed 3 clan members that attacked us with a car, we killed them, what did they do ? They kicked us, got back to their corpses by letting themselves get killed enough in order to spawn closer to their location of death and upon rejoining we were greeted with bullets..... bullsh*t. Might sound ridiculous to some, but admin rights on server should be severly limited...

Male gender is best gender, nuff said. Even if I was female IRL I'd still play a male character because of all the benefits (running faster, being able to switch clothes)

If you're in it just for DayZ, then I'd say "No, do NOT buy combined ops", DayZ standalone (Alpha I think) is slated for the end of 2012 (which is very well upon us) so you'd shed out 30 or so bucks for CO on Steam just to buy DayZ standalone again in a few months. Ontop of that, with all the hackers loose at the moment and a countless amount of bugs which need to be adressed I'd wait for the Standalone in order to get a more polished and better experience.

I honestly can't see this happening without huge cuts in the gameplay and graphics department...

I'm not sure about part 1 but part 2, just like you said, looks extemely obvious. The way I see it he's keeping the hacks right on his desktop for ease access. I'd tell him to kindly stop hacking and wait for his reaction, depending on that I'd ban him. (If I were you I would've already banned him)
