I'm not worried about BE or BIS using that info to detect hacks, but if its compromised/stolen........like ummm..........the dayz source code.............then....yea....we are kind of screwed, no? Also I'm assuming BE is doing the same for Arma 3 or is it only for dayz? -

Yes, in the mod people would sneak around to not alert the zeds. While you can easily maneuver your way around them, it would easily give away your position. Normally people would track their targets and then shoot to kill them, worrying about the zeds once the other player was dead. -

The side chat reminded me it was a multiplayer game when I have not encountered anyone in a while. I had many laughs and made a few friends on that. It will be missed. I hope it could be made optional in the future. -

Ah, I wish I had more time on my hands, its luxury I did not know I had until I lost it. But you're right, ill try it as soon as I can. Really hope it is worth that install, was trying to get more info before hand to judge. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. -

Supply & Demand. Epoch had many more servers then vanilla in the mod because people enjoyed epoch. People enjoy having different things to do and seeing progression. Is that's what dayz is about? No. Is it fun however? Absolutely. -

I find it hilarious that people are calling dayz a survival game, or better yet hardcore. I mean we are playing a game where the only goal is to kill other people. A game where zombies are negligible. If you think because you have to hold down the W key for 20 minutes to get anywhere makes a game hardcore then you are wrong. For the record I was not impressed with H1Z1 either, watched the first dev video and was repelled maybe it changed. Hell maybe dayz changed, I haven't touched it in over a month. I'm just waiting for the beta to come out. -

Thats more then I was expecting. Perhaps when beta rolls out it will be better. -
I really hope this is not the start of many. I mean its light going through walls, the whole point of the SA was to do what the mod couldn't due the engine. And now they have access to that engine and we still have limitations. Also for "at this time" I really doubt they are going to be playing around with this ever again. Screams damage control.

I will agree SA weapons do look quite nice, but it is hard to admire when the current engine cannot stop lights going through walls due to engine limitations. -

I'm waiting for the beta before going back into dayz. Being an Alpha does not bug me. http://feedback.dayzgame.com/view.php?id=300#c53954 This does. If they cannot fix flashlights going through walls due to "engine limitation" what else will be left out. Also can some please help me understand why they have engine limitations when they have access to the engine??? I feel this is the first of many. Only time will tell. "What a complete and utter disappointment. I'm afraid the first of many. The entire point of the standalone project was supposed to be creating a new engine for DayZ that could break the limitations of the ARMA engine which made it so difficult to do things in the mod. And after the monumental effort of the team - after nearly 2 years of work - we've got an engine that can't even reflect lights off of surfaces? A problem that was solved in like 1999? I'm trying to be somewhat diplomatic, but the only word that I can think of right now is "clusterfuck." quote this from geekopotamus from reddit This sums everything perfectly. -
