Thermal scopes need power. Make batteries a resource. More Realism and Thermal scopes become an investment. Its a win win and you get to keep your weapon. That said a high tech piece of machinery like that surviving a chopper crash are slim to none but the drop rate kinda accounts for this. Id say the thermal sight is fine. Survivors need to learn evasion. I never shoot on sight and im a self admitted carebear. If you DIDNT have awesome weapons it would make evading and following you MUCH easier and thus less fun. Its rare as hell as it is and ive rarely needed to evade a thermal scope. Also a lot of people want less powerfull weapons because nothing is scary down the barrel of a 50 cal. Amnesia the dark descent is creepy and atmospheric because you cant fight the monsters. Silent hill is scary and tense because your weapons are weak' date=' ammo is rare and your enemies are strong. Entrenching tool is great for taking down all the shit retards put up all over the place. If you actually sit still long enough to camp an area, sandbags could be useful, but I never did.

Berezino is an ok town. NE airfield isn't worth the time to walk there however. The winning combo is Vybor + NWA. There, I said it. Come get some. You can head straight north from Komarovo. Even without a compass, remember...keep the sun on either your left or right side as that is where it rises and sets(spawning on *southern* coast will tell you if it's morning or evening, pay attention.). Hit as many deer stands/towns along the way, you should be pretty well equipped by the time you arrive in Vybor. Vybor has the only supermarket/office in the NW quad, that should get you w/e you are missing for tools and also backpacks if you don't have one. Then pucker up and go to the airfield. You will be close to Stary. You will be tempted, but do not give in as you will find nothing there that you can't find in any deer stand. Hit the barracks, if there is nothing good or you hear gunfire, cruise around the outskirts of the airfield and look for heli crash sites. NWA is large. It is possible to creep thru even with people already there, unless they have ESP hacks, then you are fucked. (lost my bizon this way..:( ) Good luck.

I'd say military based spawns are perfect the way they are. Residential and industrial are a bit fubar atm though... The latter two having nothing but empty cans and/or hatchets etc...happens quite a lot. Water and food can be very scarce at times. Same with morphine and bandaids. Sometime they aren't and you are drowning in the stuff.

It's a choke point, between the 2 giant noob towns, so you are definitely setting yourself up for a big fight. If that's not what you wanted and really wanted to setup a safe zone, you need a better spot. Best bet would be a hill covered in trees with open slopes below that so you can see who approaches. Won't stop hoppers, but can't have everything. Windy mountain, or maybe Vysota for example. Still close to the coast, but not a buffet in the middle of the road... high ground > low ground edit: also, enjoy your ban. :)

I've never seen one, but there are many things I have yet to see. NVG, GPS, Rangefinder, many guns...I only found the coyote backpack last week.
