Using different PC, Character lost?

Version STEAM Beta patch 1.60.94700 Launching 6 updater I’m using my old PC as my laptop is being taken for repairs, as this is a new PC will my character not be accessible? I re-downloaded through steam but was all of my character information on the 6 updater? If my laptop can't be repaired/wipe hard drive, does this mean my character is lost? Essentially, is there any way to get my character back I don't want to log into the game and check (I had a ghillie suit that I want to keep) If kept I wont log in to keep the ghillie, if lost I’ll just start playing again. Intel Pentium D 3.00 GHz, 2 Gb Ram, Geforce 6800 Home Premium 64bit SP1 -
