I hit the mother load...then bam

No please by all means break the game and oh most importantly break the rules. Server hopping is against the rules of DayZ AND most servers. Be happy you don't get banned.

Debug monitor in the way !

Off topic: Love the guy prone basically axing himself in the face. On topic: Mine is the same way, it doesn't cause too much trouble now does it?

I hit the mother load...then bam

And that's the way the cookie crumbles...
  5. Why are we arguing... holy crap all he did was report a potential exploiter. He never said they ARE cheating they NEED to be banned. He did what he should by reporting suspicious activity. Give him a round of applause, we need active people doing this. Secondly, regardless of any argument you make it will not change the outcome of this as it is in the hands of the DayZ staff now so why bother?
  6. I applaud you good sir. Well done.
  7. Back on topic please. The issue with aggro is the wildness of it. Like I said, I was in a treeline crouched north of Cherno right-click zooming the city when I see a tiny little man sprinting in a zig zag pattern at me. He was so far away it took a good 45 seconds for him to make his way across the farm and into the trees. I wasn't even moving. Then my AKM doesn't aggro zombies 30ft away nor does my full standing back peddling, it just seems... wrong. Like another instance was I was in a barn waiting to leave and I see a zombie walking in my direction from nearly 75m away maybe 100m. I'm kneeling just watching it, its pathing eventually turns it around in the other direction, it walks about 15m further away from me, turns around again due to its random pathing and starts sprinting at me. I had even made a single movement I was just watching it. So directly facing me at 75-100m while kneeling it wont aggro but when it walks away to 115m it spins around and sprints at me? Without any change from me what-so-ever. Then after a backpeddling gun fight no other Zeds notice my movement nor gunfire. After patching myself and walking to the forest I hear more Zeds and one comes aggroing at me from behing a building on the other side of the street while I was kneel walking. Still too far away from the usual distance AND didn't the update add some sort of weaker aggro if objects are between you and the Zed? Regardless I was just wondering if it was a bug or the true update, and if this is how it will stay un-tweaked I don't think I'll be adventuring into cities anytime soon seeing as previously you had to sneak by them on a street-wide basis but now, if it wasn't just a weird issue with my server, they will aggro from the coast into Cherno city hall.
  8. I've done a lot of lurking the forums on BI and here in hopes to find help, but nobody else seems to have ever had this issue. For the most part I download the latest Beta Patch (94945) and install it, the installation goes just fine and I click "ok" after it finishes. When I launch ArmA 2: Combined Operations (DayZ) in the lower right corner it still shows me at Beta Patch 94444. I tested this on both my laptop (trying to install 94945) and my desktop (trying to install 94876). Laptop is trying to go from 94444 > 94945 and desktop is trying to go from 94700 > 94876 so clearly it isn't an issue with the Beta Patches themselves. I have the latest DayZ update but the beta patches are causing me hell right now. I have redownloaded them multiple times as well. Thanks guys!
  9. Yeah, literally right after posting this I was like "oh wait a minute, if this is the issue I am going to feel really dumb" Fixed it, forgot to copy paste the new beta file! We all have those moments... Thanks guys.

    I died.... and now?

I am a mix of the true survivor and the "like there is no tomorrow". As when I die I know more or less general specific locations where I can find low tier starter items and for the most part will make my way there. While I do not rush it unarmed like an idiot, I play survivor style and sneak there until I am armed moderately well and can travel North or do Elektro and Cherno looting more confidently. I died a lot in the beginning of my DayZ career and many times without weapons, it is whether or not you learn to adapt that shows growth. Also if you are the kind of person who gets attached to your loot and becomes afraid to lose it... well this isn't the best game for you.

Eastern server night time at noon????

Some servers are based on different time zones than they are hosted. Custom server rules.

Trading D3 And SC2 OR steam acc with 9 games

Exactly what I am saying, who cares if it is boring too you can't find $25? That is just ridiculous, instead do yourself a favor and get a job first instead of wasting more time and money on games you clearly can't afford.

Trading D3 And SC2 OR steam acc with 9 games

This is clearly a scam, why would someone trade $100+ worth of games for a game that cost $25...
  14. I use the DayZ Database one, regardless of which two you use you'll mainly focus the map on a small general location while using it so who cares? It is unethical to run the edge of the world anyway, as the loot is more valuable inland. But just for curiosity sake I believe the DayZ Database is the correct size, as it matches the map in game as well as the loot seems more correct.

    How is this fun?

Regardless you have access to melee weapons, many of which spawn is stupidly large abundance. I guess in DayZ you are not a man unless you have 3 hatchets in your house or barn.

    Inventory with two guns... how?

Items tend to disappear into a void when you try to move them to a full backpack, or at least a pack with not enough room. The item will still be in the inventory but once you make room for it in the pack it will disappear. Had it happen to my a Winchester and a blood pack once :[
  17. Or at least make it an option, right now "hardcore" servers are no 3rd person and no side chat. Oh wah, THIS should be hardcore mode.

    How to find Crashed Helis...

This is very useful actually as a friend of mine wanted to do some crash site hunting and we were at a loss of where to start

    DayZ Stories

This was originally posted in the Survivor HQ - Medical Assistance thread by me, but this seems like an amazingly appropriate place to post it. It was a normal day: average temperature, mildly cloudy, and the sound of unrelenting "Zeds" rode the wind. I was in a small cozy city called Zeleno, I was tipped off by another friendly survivor that there was potential loot there. As I was making my way from building to building, avoiding Zeds and scavenging as much as I could I managed to trade in my Makarov PM for a more hardy Browning Model 1911. I had already been hording M1911 magazines so it worked out perfectly. I was making my way to the supermarket to grab some beans and coke for my long trip to Bor I was about to make when gunfire broke suddenly the dreary silence. "Bandits!" I shouted! While making my way away from the storefront where I was exposed I had taken a wild round into the leg. Pain filled my mind and I couldn't help but freeze, when suddenly a thought broke through my daze. "I must move!" I thought to myself as I dragged myself, inch by painful inch into the back room leaving a pool of blood clearly marking my trials. [Medical Assistance DayZ Thread - Adjusted for cinematic effect] At this moment I was shouting of my Radio for medical assistance "Shots fired I repeat shots fired at Zeleno City, I'm holed up in the supermarket and I've been hit requesting assistance." I shouted over and over thinking nobody would hear me. After what seemed like hours I heard a voice call back to me. "FreeKill, are you still breathing?" It was a strange voice. Male, had a foreign accent that was unknown to me. "Yes, yes! I am here" I responded "My name is Aggroschnarre, I can help you" He said in an eerily calm voice. "Please hurry, I am in the Zeleno City Supermarket, I repeat; Zeleno Ci--" I couldn't finish, the pain in my leg was overwhelming. "Roger, stay cozy FreeKill." He said one last time. Upon hearing those reassuring words I propped myself up in a corner and started to assess the situation. "Yup, it's broken" I thought to myself. I quickly began sifting through my bag in hopes to find an Emergency Morphine Injector, to my sorrowful eyes all I pulled out was a bandage. Trying not to dwell to hard on this fact I made the best of a horrid situation by stopping the bleeding from my now bum leg and trying to devise a countermeasure to said attack. Before I could finish thinking the bandit rushing around the corner with a Winchester and took a shot at me, to my surprise it went far wide. I quickly followed up with a spray of bullets from my M1911. Her body hit the ground, a low "thud" as blood sprayed from the three red holes in her chest. I felt such a personal victory that it was her life and not mine, but also felt a odd sensation... it was the first life I had taken. Quickly I shot back to reality as I saw a revolver poke around the corner. I immediately tried to get up, but my leg could not support me and I fell to my stomach. "I've already dropped your friend and I'll drop you too!" I shouted. There was a tense moment... The revolver shook as it was poking around the corner, then almost like instinct he turned the corner and before he could get a shot of I put one into his chest. He lay on the floor for no more than a minute before rolling around to which I responded with another follow up shot to his head. It took me awhile but I regained my composure, but after I stopped shaking I took to looting their bodies. To my surprise the female bandit had an Emergency Morphine Injector on her, immediately I plunged it into my thigh. The cooling sensation was like ecstasy to my mind and it made the pain bearable to walk on. I slung the Winchester of my shoulder, grabbed the can of beans off the ground and set off for Bor. [skype Convo, adjusted with cool situational lingo] Again I turned to my radio in hopes to hear Aggroschnarre's voice... "Hey Aggroschnarre, are you still there?" I called "Yes, making my way now." He responded "I'm all set on the morphine, but you still bringing the blood bag?" I asked "Yes sir, I'll be entering from the North East" He affirmed "Ok good, thanks for yo--" I was cut off, quickly I turned and saw two people staring at me. One with a Makarov the other unarmed. The one wielding the Makarov's hands were shaking, he was almost as uneasy as I was. "Friendly" I shouted while holstering my Winchester, while knowing in the back of my mind lowering my defenses could lead me to my end. A few moments passed... "Friendly." He stated with a sigh To my relief they we too looking for a friendly face in this unforgiving land. Upon explaining to the two new survivors that a Medic was coming to assist me they were overjoyed as they two needed some assistance. I radioed a sitrep to Aggroschnarre and two my surprise I saw him come out, rounding the treeline. This is where Aggroschnarre's story ends. But the trials that FreeKill and his two new friends would face around the hostile coast... now that will be saved for another story. PM me about my story :] Thank you for reading!

Er, requesting a blood bag as well, I managed to go from Bor down to just north of the lighthouse on the southern shore line. Need a blood bag! Thanks a lot!

It is ok guys! Two bandits came in to try and attack me, they had bad aim. I managed to shoot both down with my 1911. One had an AKM other had AKS-47, and morphine. Fixed myself up good. Issue now is I don't have an alice pack and I don't find AK ammo often. But I found a shotgun and shotgun rounds are abundant. For now I'm sticking with the shotty.
