I think the SA shouldn't even have helis in the first place. Most of the people just used the helis to kill newspawns or check for bases and raid them. Planes are nice. You can do the scouting, but can't easily land and raid anything.

No, we just shoot them on sight, like everyone else.

We don't need professions. You'll have plenty to occupy yourself when Base building and vehicles come in play.

That's not going to work. People will either start making spawnpoints in bases, so if you die, you'll gear up right after, and get in a car and go back to the action. Or if you don't have a base, they'll make spawn points close to airfields and such, making those hotspots infested by newspawns running for gear without fear or worries, because if they die, they go back there again in a minute or so. Sorry, but this won't work.

I think it's a nice idea. I'd love to have something like this. I enjoyed the Side Chat on Dayz Mod, but always thought people could reveal a bit too much there. A loudspeaker is a nice idea to tell your enemies to surrender, or that you're peaceful. I like it.

Hello, I've searched the forum and I couldn't find anyone talking about the trains in Chernarus. One of the things I've always wanted in DayZ was a way to repair the train and go around Chernarus on a train waggon. You could get some parts to repair a broken train and you could ride on it after you fix it. If you could fix helicopters in the Mod, what's stopping you from fixing a Train in the Standalone? Imagine the power struggle between groups of players to gain control of the train, in which you could carry gear, other vehicles, or simply go across Chernarus. You would have to push your way through small villages and cities like Chernarus, facing ambushes, snipers, etc. Anyone agrees?

If you played Epoch, you would know this has nothing to do with Battlefield. I'm not saying you ride a tank. You could build custom cars with planks on the sides and spikes on the front and back to attack other people bases to steal supplies. Give a watch to the debut of Mel Gibson in films on his biggest role yet in Mad Max, specially Mad Max 2. That film portrays exactly what DayZ is supposed to be in real life (without the zombie aspect). People have bases and try to steal other people/bases supplies to ensure the survival of their own group. Seems logic *lol*

First vehicles will come in Q3, which is, at worst, end of September. Other vehicles will follow at Q4 and further, which means, until end of December or early next year. Same applies to making bases.

There's no point in making stronger zombies if their walk/run path is still broken. I'd say make slower zombies, fix their paths and wall interactions (no more wall/building glitching), and just spawn many more. IMO it's more interesting to have hordes of zombies and having to fend them off, instead of having a couple of super strong and ultra fast zombies that you can't hit. It kinda ruins it for it. -
I don't agree with hiding the pop number in the servers. But I do think we should start having 150+ slot servers ASAP. I keep finding no one for hours and hours on end except for Berezino and NE Airfield. People camp there as soon as they spawn and can't find people anywhere else.

I think if Dean follows the Epoch mod with the Fort/Base building, you will have groups of players collaborating to build/attack/defend bases. And as soon as you have vehicles, the dynamics will change completely.
