  1. Everyone knows a good cigar is the best pain relief

I maybe shouldn't say but I'm glad the asian guy is out of the picture, though everyone is now I guess.

    Re-spawning another series?

Ha unfortunately it was a crappy cigar. Can't exactly get Cuban imports if you can't reach the airfield.

Undecided about starting a new series. Maybe once the standalone is finally out or if DayZ becomes big again. Right now we're switching to horror based videos (not pure slash and gore type either)

  2. So here's the final installment of our Real Life DayZ series. Some people have complained about the dialogue and acting in the past, but I believe we've improved on that. Anyway, you won't have to worry about that as much in this part b/c this boils down to the action and kill on sight tactics used in the game.

We made this film on no budget and with the help of our friends. We're open to comments and suggestions. If you liked what you saw, show your support by liking the video and/or commenting on it.

    Thanks guys!

  3. When will their be number four?? The last one displays perfectly that you can't trust anyone, it's a little harsh but eh that's how DayZ is.

Thanks we're glad you liked it! We definitely wanted to play on the trust factor in DayZ and in any survival event.

Part 4 is out right now!

  4. Part 3 is now up!

Real Life DayZ is a series based on DayZ (video game) inspired events as well as other memorable zombie titles such as The Last of Us, World War Z and Zombie Survival Guide.

    Part 1:
    Part 2:
    Part 4: 11/15/13
    Part 5: 11/22/13

  5. Hey everyone,

We've been making a Real Life DayZ web series and are about to release the final three parts over the next three weeks.

    Here's a trailer for what's in store:

For those of you that haven't seen the other parts:

    Part 1:

    Part 2:

We work on no budget and depend on our friends to help out. Over the course of making these videos we looked to you guys in the community for suggestions and support. We've definitely come a long way since the first part and we hope you guys will enjoy what the last three parts have to offer enough to share with those around you!

  6. How did you do the dirty shit on your face effect? very impressive.

also the guy in the first screenshot should really lay off the blackberries. And use a fucking napkin for god sakes!

It  was rainy in our area for most of those shoots so the dirt was easy to work with and put on faces and clothing.

That guy you're talking about will turn out to be a pretty insane dude later.

  7. Here are some screenshots for the video we're making. It should come out early-mid September and be around 20-30 minutes.

In case anyone is interested in the history of the series:

    Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgn1XCOeT5Y

Parts 1 and 2 were filmed with no budget and with three people on set. Part 2 was filmed impromptu in 5 hours. We've learned a lot while making these and hope to make large improvements for this final part

  8. Hey everyone!

Last year we released a real life short film about DayZ. It had no budget and we didn't even have the right costumes yet it still received a good amount of support from the community.

We decided to film a sequel (still on no budget) but with some better costuming and atmosphere. We also added more elements to the video that most players will recognize. It's shorter than the last because we only had three people available to film but we think it's more coherent than the last video.

We hope you enjoy it and decide to share it with your friends.

  9. Before I do any critiquing I should say that I have no experience under my belt of making short films. I'll start with the acting. The acting overall with good. There were times that it really seemed like the characters were just saying a line and not really having feeling and expression behind it. At other times the acting was amazing. As far as the effects go they were some of the best I've ever seen in a short film. Especially the gun shots. The camera angles were also amazing. They really worked in the scene with what was happening. The story plot is fairly good. I especially like the ending. Overall I would say this is probably one of the best DayZ short films I've seen.

Thanks alot for the feedback it's great to see it from all types of people.

Since everyone's schedules were off we had a very weird filming schedule so the actors were sometimes left confused on what was going on. You can almost tell when we started filming and when we ended by the acting progression. We really appreciate that you liked it!

  10. Hey everyone, we made a movie about DayZ called Chernarus-DayZ Live Action Short Film.

We took some liberties with the source material, but tried to stay loyal to some key aspects of the game. It was filmed with no budget and with a small crew over two months (very weird schedules to work with) but we're pretty happy with what we made. If you like it, help us out by liking, favoriting and giving us feedback. Hope you guys enjoy it.

  11. Yeah there was only so much we could show in the trailer (we hadn't edited anything before it). Most of the signature stuff that my friends and I enjoy (and hate) in the game make an appearance though.

I have to admit though, we really suck at the game and didn't even know of anyone that could fix up the helicopters but when we did we decided to put something about that in.

  12. It's due sometime in August. We're trying to take a more "Walking Dead" approach as in more realistic (aka not everyone wears the same outfit and not everyone is trained to use guns). Since most people that watch YouTube videos enjoy shorter videos and due to pacing reasons, we're going to cut it down from 16 minutes to close to 10 minutes.

We're not completely done filming, but we're open to suggestions. We have thrown in a couple of easter eggs that some players may or may not notice.
