Any tips on getting away from zeds when you have no weapons. Everytime Id gain ground away from the zombie itd make the gap within a second or two (double time).

Each time I try to join a Day Z server, usually I either get bad version (stopped showing up, I thought I was up to date with the beta patch and everything?). But I also get, server is dependent on a downloaded file deleted.cheranus. I cannot use the six updater/launcher either; whenever I use it my internet connection goes to limited access and shuts down. I've bought Arma II, and Operation Arrowhead off of steam, I used to have Arma II Free downloaded but I removed that earlier today. Can anyone help a newb out?

Just hide in a bush like me. Still haven't found weapons and low on food and water. God I love bushes...

The game doesn't seem to be that hard. But as a solo member you need to be cautious as all hell. I've had zombies and players sneak up on me before. Thankfully I'm usually prone in a bush at that point.. Yeah I'm new and I crawl everywhere otherwise I know I'd be dead by now trying to find loot. Groups I imagine would be easier... Plus I think everyone at that point would have a gun to get out of a sticky situation. All I have is flares and a can or two :P.

The way you're going to have to go is just go prone and start crawling around. It's a pain but there's no real other way to get around in the towns on the coast; unless you find out how to throw things... Unlike me. I went west of spawn and found some flares, bandages, compass, and some shot-shells, no weapons yet; just a lot of zeds patrolling.
