Run South East and you will get out fine. if you dont have a compass just look at the clouds -
Basically the reason why the Mod is so good is because ARMA2 was designed to be easily modable and in this case therefore easily hackable (or scriptable depending on how you word it)

Did I miss something or are you just saying you got bored of a game (in alpha) because you were exploiting game mechanics to get a crazy high amount of everything? Seems that would be why you got bored. -

Was booted to the Debug plains after a server restart. Would walk out but am starving to death and have too much cool gear! :) Any help would be much appreciated. Player ID : 28732998 EDIT: Have managed to walk out!! Thankfully found a sheep on the border and killed it and cooked at as I got down to my last thousand blood!! -

Arma2 system specs are not that amazing so it will run on "some" low end set ups; just dont expect to get great graphics. you can get the game at the moment for the price of a quiet night out so just get it. its well worth it to have already even if you wait on an upgrade. -
I have done this and no it doesnt delete you DayZ character just changes the name. Note this means you cant make 2 arma profiles and have 2 Dayz characters as they link to each other

whenever you are going near a town or village - where zombies spawn - you are best to crouch walk as you make less noise. trial and error will show you how close you can get to them with out being spotted but the simple one is just dont run when Zs are around. Evading them - try running across bridges or through houses with 2 ways in/out as the Zs will go slower on the bridge or in the house. If you are near a town on the coast run to the dock area as the Zs dont go onto piers and dock sides.

usual answer; log off and back on. sorts most weird spawn issues

Try looking at some of the guides and videos of how to start out. Its pretty easy to get to places from any spawn - you are never very fair away from something useful.
