  1. My suggestion for side-chat: What if you could find a walkie-talkie (it actually exists in vanilla-arma) which "activates" the side-chat only for you and for people who have one, too? That means only you and those other people can write into/read the side-chat. Maybe you could even have an option to turn it on or off... so you are not forced to use it. The walkie talkie could use batteries, which you have to loot and go empty after a while. So you are forced to use the side-chat in a reasonable way or when it's necessary... On my opinion the side-chat was very useful to find friendlies/team up and have communication between players. Note: not everyone has teamspeak. I think that the direct-communication is almost useless because of the shoot-on-sight behaviour of most of the players (my experience). Now, most of the time i'm walking around alone and have no contact to other players (it gets boring after a while). When i have one, either me or he is dead because shoot-on-sight is the best idea... :-/ Or i just avoid contact to others at all.
