The cause/admin of the issue in my mind has been taken care of.

I am the one who purchased the hosting for this server. I was not on at the time that this happened. I've talked with "marshkillz" about what happened and your stories seem to match. If you read up on HFB hosting they do not allow you to change slot count. Rand0m is not a server admin either. I've since removed any admin rights for Marshkillz for the server restarts and the slot count. I can't talk in his defense but he says he found it very strange that you were able to find him out in the middle of nowhere with so little players on. I went ahead and sent him this link so he can reply if he wishes but that's all I really heard from him. I apologize this happened to you. I'm big on fair play and do agree that him changing the slot count was a big no-no, however, there's been posts about server restarts not being considered against the rules, yes in an excessive amount I would consider it B.S. (maybe marsh crossed that line) but I'm not here to speak for anyone but myself and I assure you the problematic admins have been removed. Again, I'm sorry.

Seattle 97 is one of the $25 servers. I was impressed with the set up time and ease of use considering it seems that it's all being run by a small group of people

I'll have a public beta ready by next Friday. There might be some placeholder content while I get sorted out on what I have permission to use and what not. I've also added a "Patch Notes" feature to show the most recent patch notes and what the current DayZ version/OA Beta version is. Also in the future I'll add some RSS feeds from the more popular DayZ resources so you guys can keep up with the latest news on the go.

Very nice google map you have there, I'm also creating a DayZ Android app that is more than just the map itself. While I don't have the time to create my own dedicated tiled map with the Google Maps API I might temporarily use yours.

Yea, you'll be able to tell a slight difference. However it's the cost you have to pay if you want to get it right away :P

yes, it is normal. But after you get less picky when it comes to ping, you'll find certain server that load you in faster than others. For example the Virginia servers are usually easy to get loaded in during the afternoon. When those get dark I sometimes switch to ANZ4 which has around 200 ping for me but I get in instantly.

Dallas 12 is quite fun for me and my friends, only complaint here is that it goes down too much 3-4 times in a 6 hour period.

Just wanted to drop in and say thanks for changing the server time last night. Was playing around 12am central when the server went down, came back up pitch black then went down again, came back up with an in-game time of 7:30am.. Plenty daytime hours of gameplay I got in with great ping and found some phat lewt.
