Well, ideally setting up your scripts.txt to have BattlEye log almost everything would work a lot better with this program, as eventually it can pick out things that look fishy (you can customize what it searches for) and perhaps when it does find something you can set it to Email/SMS you. As far as some of the fine details go, I still have yet to figure them out. I'm in a way separating out each function into it's own program as I work on it so I don't get overwhelmed with it all. -

I appreciate your offer, I have a few things in the works currently so I'll keep it in mind. I've been using one of Ryahn's servers to test a few things and a certain hosting company might be providing me with a VDS. The reason I'm working so heavily on the RPT parsing is because of my ultimate plan for this program. When scanning RPT files I want it to log the most recent items a player has and based on ID store that into a central database. I'll be creating a website where you can look up players and see what gear they have. I'll be creating a "Top Players" so you can see who has the best gear etc.. There's not much to pull out of the RPT files however so a stats database would be limited but still cool nonetheless. -

I'm getting close with the RPT parsing. Sometimes it doesn't always pick up the correct inventory items or items being 'held' so I need to tweak it more, but coordinates are working great. -

I'm still working on the parsing, my main interest in releasing these alpha's is to get feedback to to stress test what I do have functioning so far. The map will have some functionality with hive updates on players. It will show where a player has been with time-stamp however I will most likely mask the last few hive updates as to make it fair for the players (don't want sneaky admins using the tool to find people) Nothing so far is in it's final state, i'll update my main post with progress percentage on each feature. As for rcon, i've disabled it but it DOES work, however it does not report your commands and connecting/disconnecting players like it should in the console version and I believe that's just a limitation I'm running into using vb.net rather than C like the BattlEye library is written in I'm using. Think of the alpha's as 'Nightly' builds and they just come as they are. Eventually when I start getting some features working with some good functionality I'll post instructions.. right now it's in it's 'play with it to see what it does' state. The parsing is what's really taking a long time to get through. -

Just a quick update of the things i've been working on and dealing with today: Fixed the issues with FTP settings not working. I'm currently working on the RPT search functions and getting it to log nicely in the listview. I'm debating separating the program into an FTP and Local version. Since I'm quite new to string parsing I have to read up on it and grabbing certain things out of the RPT has been a bit tricky for me so far. Thanks for being patient :) -

Actually Rocket said that Alt+F4'ing to avoid death is considered an exploit. I'll let you interpret what that means but I've banned a few players that did that to me as I was firing on them. -

I haven't had time to test much of on the FTP side as of late. I'll take a look at it and post an update later. Currently it's all I know. I'd like to switch over to C but I'm still learning, and hardly have time as most of my time at work is spent working on iOS/Android apps and using vb6 D:< -

no it should be set to something like: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\cfg Inside the "cfg" is where your battleye folder is -

It currently doesn't support 2 servers. Just launch a second instance and redo the options. You'll just have to MacGyver it for now -

That's what I'll be working on next. Ideally I want to add a folder "Scripts Log" and inside that folder have daily sets of folders with logs from that day. For example: -battleye --Script Logs ---Logs-7-25-2012 ----scripts_07-25-12_01-25-08.log ----scripts_07-25-12_01-30-08.log ----scripts_07-25-12_01-35-08.log ---Logs-7-26-2012 ----scripts_07-26-12_01-25-08.log ----scripts_07-26-12_01-30-08.log Then when the program finds strings or scripts the user sets it will also note what log file the suspicious strings are located for easy reviewing, most likely at the top of the log file, or to a database. -

Here's a very limited release with working scripts.log scanning. It's pretty rudimentary at the moment but it'll be worked on next. What it's doing so far. 1. Renames scripts.log so initial scan doesn't take forever (I had a 4Gb log file initially that i did not want to scan) 2. waits for interval to tick (during this time a new scripts.log is generated by your server, I did this so it doesn't have to scan 100Mb+ log files) 3. On interval tick it will scan the log file for any .sqf and also any string you choose (currently can't change this until I implement it, but you'll be able to add an infinite number of strings to search) 4. resets interval. If you're running this locally you can set the interval to any time you want, however FTP users should set it to around 10 minutes depending on your download speeds and depending on what your scripts.txt is set to log. Note: This is just a basic bare-bones version of how I want it to be so please don't get nit picky on it just yet. I've been working on getting all of the tools working in basic form before I fine tune them. You'll find it will crash as I have not implemented error handling yet and it will probably leave some residual temp files, it's perfectly fine to delete those temp files. Please reply with legit bugs such as connection errors etc.. Note: Start RPT/Load Players/and Chat Log only work in local mode. FTP users will get errors.
