and when people decide they don't want PvP on their server? there is also nothing in the rules about people not being able to PvE without the potential for griefing either. You should try looking at things from the other side of the spectrum.

IMO for this to work there would need to be two hives, one for PvE and one for PvP. With seperate and multiple characters. Could be seen as a possible option in the future, once it's farther along in development though. The people that are against it seem to be against it because they don't want to PvP people that are actually interested in it. Does their playstyle ruin your gaming experience? Does it break your immersion? DayZ is sandbox, keeping you entertained with the ability for you to do what you want, when you want. Granted you can PvP if you want to, but there should also be the ability to not PvP if you don't want to. I know this may come as an extremely scary and shocking thought, but some people are more interested in the zeds. That's what the "carebears" or, casuals as I'd put it, are asking for. Don't hate on PvE because you don't want to shoot at people interested in shooting back.

Only kids assume the entire community is made up of kids. Not every ban is justified but the EXTREME VAST MAJORITY is because they were doing something they're not supposed to do. There's no trolling, it's fact. 95%+ of hackers DO receive justifiable bans, not because battleye got denied by him for prom, but because they're hacking. I'm not saying this to hurt his feelings (that's trolling btw). I'm saying it because battleye probably is going to tell him the same exact thing. If he does get an appeal that's great, but I'll believe it when I see it due to the vast numbers of people claiming they didn't hack when in turn, they did. Edit: I did not just make this post. No, not off topic at all. Completely related to what you were saying. But if you still think it's off topic.. I was simply saying that this game is no where NEAR post release quality even for shit games like Rage. and before you say it's an alpha, I'm well aware of that, dickriders use it as the only excuse in their arsenal and will be SOL when it's not an alpha anymore. Well dude, Battleye doesn't just ban people for no reason, nor does any other anti cheating software. You got caught with some sort of third party shit in your directory that simply is NOT supposed to be there. Don't expect sympathy from people that don't agree with hacking dude. What do you expect?

Those things already exist when you can just hoard vehicles and hide them off the map or in the forest. A second character will do nothing about muling, vehicles have bigger storage anyway.

But it was a long winter! I'd like to see my character starting to sport a neckbeard, could also add in the potential for shaving, hunting knife + soap texture, not as modern as a edge shave gel and 15 blades to help completely mutilate your face while you're getting ready to get ready, but god dang at least you'll look good doing it :D

After reading a couple of hacking threads today, it made me think of an old server modification for counter-strike 1.6. The modification followed as such, while I'm no programmer, I'm not sure the difficulty of implementation, some insight on that would be fantastic if anyone could provide. I've never hacked in a game, so I may very well be about to talk right out of my rear end, please accept my apology if that does occur. Don't most hacks have to be placed in the installation directory of the game/mod/program you're cheating in? If that's the case, why not add a little disclaimer when you connect to a lobby. This disclaimer will inform you that you're about to have your directory scanned for any third party material not placed by BIS and will search for any game modifying files. On acceptance: a very quick, but thorough scan of your directory for said third party material. On denial: you're promptly disconnected from the server. On acceptance and caught: First offense will result in a one day ban, increasing until the fourth offense. Second offense will result in a one week ban. Third offense will result in a one month ban. Fourth offense will result in a permanent, un-revokable, un-disputable ban. Just a quick suggestion, and I'm expecting some of the OMG DON'T DO THAT posts by some people that want to keep their downloaded skill, but those comments are null, void, and completely useless. Thoughts?
