Yeah let's make it just like real life! Oh wait zombies aren't real..

and when people decide they don't want PvP on their server? there is also nothing in the rules about people not being able to PvE without the potential for griefing either. You should try looking at things from the other side of the spectrum.

On my terms? Hold it right there. Where did I say anything about my own playstyle? You're oblivious to how I play, and it will continue to remain a mystery because it will only dilute a logical opinion seen as a neutrality. Still sandbox, get to the point. Edit: Actually I've read an interview somewhere and rocket said that DayZ isn't intended to be a balls out PvP circle jerk. I'll try to find it and edit this post accordingly. Edit 2: http://www.dayzpvp.c...with-machinima/ Read it and weep. Two exerpts from the interview: "Rocket admits that once people figure the game out (he says it doesn’t take long) there has to be more for them to do. The bandit “problem” is due to there not being enough to do for the advanced players. Dean says he is going to add “group play” and “construction options”. These are more “authentic” things that fit the mod well. He does tell us that he is not working on this yet, but that the planning is beginning. Rocket says that these things are possible. He wants people to control their world and change it." "Rocket mentions that he is a “carebear” and he has only killed one person in-game. He said it really changed him, seems he did not like it. Seems strange huh? Yet kind of cool. Rocket would rather group up with friends and do the co-op thing." Wanna bust his chops too? It's coming. /thread

IMO for this to work there would need to be two hives, one for PvE and one for PvP. With seperate and multiple characters. Could be seen as a possible option in the future, once it's farther along in development though. The people that are against it seem to be against it because they don't want to PvP people that are actually interested in it. Does their playstyle ruin your gaming experience? Does it break your immersion? DayZ is sandbox, keeping you entertained with the ability for you to do what you want, when you want. Granted you can PvP if you want to, but there should also be the ability to not PvP if you don't want to. I know this may come as an extremely scary and shocking thought, but some people are more interested in the zeds. That's what the "carebears" or, casuals as I'd put it, are asking for. Don't hate on PvE because you don't want to shoot at people interested in shooting back.

Why Alpha testing is pointless at the moment.

Why Alpha testing is pointless at the moment.
Snapalapagus replied to vukster@gmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Because only like 3/10 people actually report bugs and the people that do report bugs are instantly hit with a barrage of the only excuse that fanboy dickriders have: AMGGGG IZ ALFUHHHHHH Just my .02 :) Imo, closed beta with a bug quota would lift this thing like a....rocket...nyuk nyuk nyuk Edit: Keep in mind not a big quota, maybe one bug report of your findings in a given month or something. Enough to make them actually do what the main purpose of an alpha is. -
DayZ DEVS DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS NOW!!!

You sir, you look hungry and made me laugh. Please, have some beans :) -
Hunger games is for scene kids with girl pants and a weak constitution. Battle Royale would be much better suiting considering there's action for more than 30 seconds.

Only kids assume the entire community is made up of kids. Not every ban is justified but the EXTREME VAST MAJORITY is because they were doing something they're not supposed to do. There's no trolling, it's fact. 95%+ of hackers DO receive justifiable bans, not because battleye got denied by him for prom, but because they're hacking. I'm not saying this to hurt his feelings (that's trolling btw). I'm saying it because battleye probably is going to tell him the same exact thing. If he does get an appeal that's great, but I'll believe it when I see it due to the vast numbers of people claiming they didn't hack when in turn, they did. Edit: I did not just make this post. (get it?)

DayZ practically unplayable? ( Current State )
Snapalapagus replied to Elektro (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
No, not off topic at all. Completely related to what you were saying. But if you still think it's off topic.. I was simply saying that this game is no where NEAR post release quality even for shit games like Rage. and before you say it's an alpha, I'm well aware of that, dickriders use it as the only excuse in their arsenal and will be SOL when it's not an alpha anymore. Edit: Don't get it twisted I do like the mod. I just simply disagree with your point mate, no offense. :P -

If you're talking about games like Rage. -
Well dude, Battleye doesn't just ban people for no reason, nor does any other anti cheating software. You got caught with some sort of third party shit in your directory that simply is NOT supposed to be there. Don't expect sympathy from people that don't agree with hacking dude. What do you expect?

And James Holmes says he didn't do it too.
