This morning I checked the server and had to restart it because it was missing all vehicle and tents. After the restart, Tents and vehicles came back, but I am still missing the AN2. Information in the HiveExt.log file is still the same. I had 3 vehicles that were not being reclaimed by server cleanup and spawning. They had been teleported & destroyed in the debug plains where players spawn. I have since been able to "destroy" the 3 offending vehicles and using TG ! Jimmy's forced maintenance was able to get two of the vehicles to spawn back into the map. I moved them into the map and saved them and they have been staying in place through restarts. PM sent regarding other public hive issues I am having.

There is still a fundamental problem with the chain of communication / ownership / support that needs to be addressed. The hive connection error is just one of the problems that public hive servers are having. Should the server operators (as well as HFB) write to Matt Lightfoot and put pressure on him to either fix or turnover the support and operation of the public hive to HFB or another provider that can and will fix this process?

What we need is a clean line of communication with whoever is responsible for the public hive database servers. R4Z0R49 is put right into the line of fire with these problems and then is given no good answers for the server operators. THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE! Anytime there has been an issue with the hive, the response time is reprehensible. The support.dayzmod.com site has been abandoned, yet mods still insist on saying, "Have you opened a ticket on support.dayzmod.com?" Honestly, if the community devs / bohemia / whoever is still responsible for it do not wish to waste anymore time or energy supporting the public hive servers, PLEASE just tell us so we can stop pulling our hair out.

Please stop suggesting this. A number of us HAVE submitted tickets. WEEKS ago. No one looks at the support.dayzmod.com site any longer.

The problem is most certainly NOT fixed. My server has crashed several times today. It seems the devs are just going to sit quietly and wait till Standalone comes out and hope that we give up / go away in the meantime.

You cannot use the restart command. This only restarts the mission and does not completely restart the server instance which has to be done for any type of database maintenance to be performed, log rotations, etc.

This truly is disappointing. Not one word from the mods, devs or anyone confirming the problem exists and that some sort of resolution is or is not on the way. For all intended purposes, I think it's safe to say the support.dayzmod.com portal has been abandoned and forgotten about. I recall the last time this sort of problem occurred with the public hive database servers was around the time of "The Great Can Incident" All the devs showed up for that, but once again, when there is a hive problem you can watch the tumbleweeds blow by.

Is there any special port that needs to be open on the server to allow the squad.xml to work?

R4Z0R, Who is responsible for the public hive database servers? Can we light a fire under them to get this resolved a little faster than this? I'm sure the other public hive server operators being affected by this share my feelings when I say I'm growing weary of babysitting this server everytime it restarts to ensure it talks to the hive.

No offense, but considering the SSL certificate for that page is expired and has gone unnoticed, it's not likely that anything else submitted there is being noticed either.

I have been getting this on my public hive server as well. What caused something similar to this in the past is the limitations of the hive.dll not being able to have all of the public hive servers resolve from it. There may be a hive server that is hung (this was the problem last time) and some servers are trying to resolve to the hung server, thus causing the crash. EDIT: I also opened a ticket on support.dayzmod.com for this.

A quick question for you, facoptere: When the github filters that Dwarden maintains are updated, are your filters and the zip file in the OP updated as well?

As the topic indicates, vehicles are not respawning / resetting. I have checked some of the places vehicles are indicated to be and they are not there. I looked into this after players started reporting the shortage of vehicles. @R4Z0R - I tried to send you a PM regarding this, but received and error saying you cannot receive messages. If any other admins can give me a hand with this, I can post or PM the specifics & log files you may need to track this down. Thanks!

It is located in your @hive/Addons directory. You will need to unpack the dayz_server.pbo file. Then the file is located in the dayz_server/compile directory. Make the code change and then repackage the pbo.

I updated this code and repackaged the server pbo right after this came out. I haven't seen anyone clone since, but that could also be because of the amount of players I banned I caught using the exploit.

I doubt the HMMWV spawned out there. It was probably teleported there or someone drove it there and shot out the tires on it. I had another player tell me yesterday night that they found the URAL at the spawn point, they drove it somewhere and when they got out to put some loot in it, it disappeared right in front of them.
