Survivor camps/bases/houses + ingame money!
[email protected] replied to trexeth's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I've said this before, there should be more stuff like that. You should be able to pick up all kinds of useless crap, if anyone has played Fallout 3 or any of the 'recent' Elder Scrolls games you know what I mean. Just for immersions sake, the world should be filled with now worthless things like money, Tv's, etc. pp. you get what I'm saying. Then once player bases are intergrated they might even become somewhat usefull and worth something for decorading purposes. A whole new trade system could evolve. Got a bookshelve but nothing to put in? Well that survivor camp outside Zelenogorsk has set up a trading post and they got all kinds of crazy shit! My two cents. -
Negative behavior consequences suggestion.
[email protected] replied to M3D1C's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I still think that most of the killing going on these days is really just because people are bored and the only real 'challenge' is hunting other players. Once the game becomes more complex and it's easier to set yourself a goal, people will get back to working together. Of course not everyone but that wouldn't be fun either. -
My Personal Suggestions - A selection :)
[email protected] replied to UmBe's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I totally agree with the hole 'shot to the leg' thing. I always thought it was stupid that you're instantly dead when someone shoots you in the foot. It should surely knock you out but still give friends the chance to save you. In my opinion that's just one more reason for people to band together instead of lone wolfing. Don't get me wrong, I' more of a lone wolf myself but there should be obvious advantages to running with a group, this being one of the major ones. -
Infected Players… I want to be INFECTED!!!!
[email protected] replied to SeaBiscuit (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Rocket has already said that he will not implement this because it would destroy immersion as a real player would never behave like a 'zombie'. He also said the survivors are immune, hence why they survived. They aren't dead. They are infected similar to the ones from the movie '28 Days Later', so there is no reanimation going on. -
Do you think it's just random that it stays even after you die? That's not because you should have a place to re-equip yourself but so other people can find the stuff you've hidden away.People are waaay to attached to their stuff.

That's pretty stupid, the whole point of tents is to have a storage that is not secure. Don't put stuff into tents if you don't want to loose them. The real problem is that they're way too easy to spot, espeacially with a helicopter. People with a helicopter can find any base on the map within a few minutes, it's really ridiculous an defeats the purpose of even having one.

Character sleeping when logged off
[email protected] replied to trexeth's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Because having a server full of 'sleeping' bodies everywhere would be awesome. Because my character sleeping ingame for weeks while I don't have time to play the game is such an awesome idea. Because having to practically start over each time you log back into the game is so much fun. Have some beans! No... wait... I don't have any because I got robbed while I was 'sleeping'. :emptycan: <_< Do people even think these things over before they post them? -
I stopped reading there. Seriously what the fuck is wrong with you?

What should be considered "Geared Out" in DayZ Game?
[email protected] replied to m.w. vindicator's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Making food and drink more rare is only going to promote the whole kill on sight mentality and everyone's already bitching about that. Also, yes I would prefer fewer people with heavy load out and more with bad equipment, I think that might make people work together more. Might be some low end players would team up to take down those high end players. That'd be the best case scenario though, which is unlikely to happen. <_< -
Discussion of the standalone defecation\poo feature
[email protected] replied to Dancing.Russian.Man's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I can't be sure but I think he's just talking about making the enviroment deadlier and the 'pooing' was what kicked it off. As much as I'm for immersion and authenticity I'm not really sure I want to have piss & poo in the game. Though I suppose if they find a way to implement it in a way that's not too ridiculous it might be an interesting feature. -

Military is still active.
[email protected] replied to ProfessorKoble's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I highly doubt that even if any Military is still active that Chernarus would be a high priority target for an Airstrike. And even if it was they'd just bomb the shit out of it until nothing is left, not much of a game there to be had then. Bad idea is a bad idea. -
I just saw this on Imgur
[email protected] replied to Raytheon (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
It's a glorious idea and I hope it'll happen. Kinda reminds me how GTA used to make large maps possible. lol -
Standalone Poll: First Person Only?
[email protected] replied to Trizzo's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Yo, bro you're so hardcore man! -
Was was going to say the same but, the grammar is not near as bad and it's not a list of already suggested stuff... so unless he went back to school and learned a thing or two I don't think it's him. But he's close enough with the content of his suggestions.

Different Types of Crash Sites
[email protected] replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I agree that there should be more random loot spots, I acutally made a thread about that:http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/94072-dynamic-random-events/#entry884023 -

Dayz series would you watch?
[email protected] replied to anthonydddd1's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'm still waiting for someone to make a big series that's sort of like what the yogscast did with minecraft in their shadow of israphel series. With private hives, the possibility to use scripts and all that I'm suprised no one has done that. Though I suppose I might just not know about it. You'd have to have a lot of other people for that to work though. -
Global Causality - Within the Scope of DayZ?

It's a very interesting concept and sounds worth experimenting with. -
Simple idea to fix mindless deathmatching
[email protected] replied to thealgerian's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
What you seem to fail to realise is that physical damage is the same with each and every person. No matter who I shoot in the leg, they'll bleed and hurt. But psycology is no where near that simple. Not every person that shoots someone feels remorse or even feels bad about it. Psycological reactions cannot be realisticly simulated nor even can it be represented in anyway authentic, because no two persons have the same state of mind. For example I would never shoot another person without having a damn good reason. But I also don't leave my garbage on the street either but a lot of people do. You really can't compare it with a physical reaction. Besides, if there was such a feature to be implemented Heroes should be more affected by it than 'Bandits'. When you're a Bandit you've decided to leave your humanity behind and adapt to this new world so there is no place for feeling remorse. Heroes on the other hand would suffer greatly from every person they kill, because they cling to their humanity and that is what keeps them going so when they have to act in contrast to that they'd have to suffer greatly for that. So in the end you'd be punishing Heroes more than Bandits. - My two cents -
What a wonderful suggestion popped up in my head about realistic zombies
[email protected] replied to Spidey (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Not 'aggro' them but make them investigate, i.e. go where the sound is and when they see you then they should come sprinting towards you. -
Well, Rocket did say in that development blog that the player number is only held back by the size of the map which in turn would only be limited by the server capabilites if I unterstand him correctly. So if we get a huge server cluster similar to what eve online does we could have maps that could hold hundreds if not thousands of players I guess.

Safe houses... and cars in the game....

Standalone should have a Namalsk like environment.
[email protected] replied to koze's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Each time a new map gets released someone comes to the suggestion forum and tells us how 'this is how dayz should be'. Namalsk is nice enough I give you that, but I doubt it will be able to compete with Chernarus Plus. A bigger map, more towns/cities, more enterable and redesigned buldings. Though I'm sure there will be fan made maps somewhere down the road. As for the 'indepth storyline' I don't see how chernobyl would explain a zombie apocalypse that's based on a virus. Besides, Rocket doesn't want a complex storyline for the game as far as I can tell from his interviews. Sure there will be clues about what happened but there will never be a narrative forced on the player. -
Simple idea to fix mindless deathmatching
[email protected] replied to thealgerian's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
It's so simple that at least another hundred people have already suggested it. The game is supposed to be hard, half the fun of it is to wager your life on wether that guy is a KillOnSight/DeathmatchKiddie/Bandit or if he's friendly. It's your choice. You can engage them or just walk away. If you get KoS'ed without knowing someone was even there, you probably did something wrong. Besides, most of the Kill on Sight now-a-days comes from boredom anyway. There currently is nothing else to do than go hunt other players. Which is one of the reasons I've stopped playing the mod and am waiting for the Standalone.
