  1. I like it the way it is. In my opinion it can stay the way it is now, execpt for the bugs it has now of course. Sure it's a little hard to understand at the beginning but once you've got it right it makes total sense. Maybe give you more freedom of where to put stuff and add a 'holster' for a melee weapon but other than that I don't see a 'need' for change.
  2. It still is a penalty for killing though and surely not a 'new direction' if you've read some of the suggestion threads about this. Also the coonciousness factor should decrease the more people you kill, as with most things this is something you get 'used to' doing. Maybe when you kill the first time you have a chance of entering some kind of shocked state but not sure wether that'd really be a game enhancing mechanic.
  3. I really like the mechanics of this. Got my support.

I can already see myself sitting on a hill overlooking a town, writing something epic into my journal... and BOOM! I get shot in the back because I didn't pay attention to my surroundings. ;)
  5. There was a thread about this just a day or so ago. <.<
  6. That argument falls way short. You'd then have to arguee that 99% of people wouldn't just shoot people on sight. Sure there are a lot of psychopath but that isn't the norm. Especially at the end of the world in a post apocalyptic world, where every surviving human being counts for the survival of the species.Groups killing of other groups I can understand but solo people would tend to team up and join groups and not run around alone. Sure it should be possible to do, I agree but when it's the norm within the game it kinda feels 'unrealistic' or rather 'artificial' I guess.
  7. I don't see that many NVGs either and I prefer playing in the dark, has a somewhat cooler atmosphere to it. I also run around with my flashlight all the time and don't get killed for it either.
  8. I don't think that making the make impossible to be played solo is the wrong solution. I guess the 'cities' like Cherno really should be harder to loot and maybe even only do able groups. Though that still wouldn't decrease Banditry it may even go the other direction and support it by helping big groups repressing solo players. Not sure there is real a 'solution' for this problem, it's a very complicated issue.
  9. I've had that happen to me aswell and I've never quit the game through alt+f4 and I certainly wasn't bleeding or had that concussion symbol.
  10. lol, most of the time my screen is black and white due to bloodloss anyhow, so I don't get to see much of the colourful scenery. :P
  11. Well, the whole 'betraying' part is the problem though. People shoot you on sight because they don't want to be betrayed. Same reason for playing with friends, no fear of betrayal. The problem is that there is no psychological barrier that keeps you from killing people in cold blood within a video game and that is a thing you simply cannot simulate. You know, killing that person has no consequences. He will just simply respawn. Sure without all his gear but it's not like you really killed a guy and have to deal with that guilt. Of course you can try to force this with some sort of game mechanic but there will always be those people who simply do not care and play the game to kill other players and ruin their experience. I'm still certain the problem lies with the players and not the game mechanic.
  12. I don't have that much of a problem with the inventory but I agree that it needs a overhaul.
  13. Was thinking about this the other day and support this idea.
  14. Could you stop with that white colour thing? It really hurts my eyes... <_<
  15. I've had that without logging in that suddenly groups of 5 zombies suddenly appear in front of me. Kinda annoying when you've been sneaking through backyards.
  16. lol, that'd be nice only happened to me once but I'd really appreciate the extra safety net.
  17. Guess he picked the wrong name then. Thanks for the info though. ;)
  18. I like this idea, but think that the more bodies you search the longer and the more blood should stay on you, and maybe even at some point it should stay on forever and your complete set of clothes stained with it.Like that you're either a 'Vulture' or a bandit and should be dealt with cautiously.
  19. They're supposed to be... Zombies? Also, not sure wether the Arma2 engine allows that but if you shoot their arms and legs that should cripple them. So when you shoot them in the arms they can't use 'em anymore and when you shoot them in the legs they start crawling. Not sure wether they already do the latter.
