You see, DayZ was a mod created by one guy from NZ who was hoping they'd end up with maybe 150 people across a few servers, and ended up with 1,000,000 unique players. There is no big Dev team for DayZ. We're lucky that BIS is paying rocket to make DayZ while at work as it is. He works his ass off to get this game fixed, and your pointless threads do nothing to fix it at all. Stop forgetting that this is not a game, this is a mod. Most mods that completely change the game like this aren't released to the public until often a year after they were started. Be thankful you can play it right now.

This basically just proves it. With a chopper you can see every camp and vehicle there is around the map extremely easily. When flying my chopper, it got to the point where I couldn't be bothered landing, even if there were like 10 tents. It's so easy to find everything. Pro-tip, it's AS50, not AS550 ;)

Holy crap, maybe I should have scrolled down the page to see how long that was before I blew 25 minutes reading a Q&A session. You have to give it to rocket though. How many devs do you see come out and answer questions about their games? Let alone hour long Q&A sessions, and 2 hour long skype calls. Credit to you mate.

If anyone has mountain dew readily available like that, then chances are their also really well geared / and or have vehicles themselves. Because the people who trade gear are the same people who dupe gear. I'll admit that I've set up a trap before. A friend informed me about the Reddit DayZ trade section, and because it's just full of faggots we set up a trade and killed some guys with 3 AS50's, NVG's, coyote's, range finders and all of that. They were mad we killed them but they just went back to their duped camp and grabbed more stuff and moved on.

What do you mean? Make sure you do try connecting again, it will save you hours of swimming. There is no knowing. If it was a hacker that put you in this mess, then you will end up somewhere between solnichny and elektro I would say. Most hackers port people to the bottom right of the map now, so swimming NW is your best option.

First try disconnecting and reconnecting. Chances are, that will fix it. If that does not fix it, swim NW.

Fair enough for your friend to be a little mad about dying to a glitch, but complaining because you didn't hear someone come up the stairs? Really? I bet you were just alt-tabbed anyway. We've all died with better gear than you've even seen before, and for many of us it happens on a regular basis. Don't get attached to your gear, ESPECIALLY when the game is in the state it's in right now.

So stop going to the goddam tents. I've played with a guy like you for the last month. It started by finding our first car and loading it with guns so we could kill people and not worry, eventually we'd just remember were tents were on our server, and run straight there when we died. I stopped playing for about a week not long ago because it got so boring. It defeated the purpose of the game. I had every tool in the game on me, an AS50, L85, ghillie, NVG's, range finder, coyote, you name it. I made a decision. I placed 2 satchel charges on the ground near the school, ran around and collected atleast 40 zombies, ran back to the charges, gave a salute and killed all of us. I started a new life with a different friend. I refuse to take anything from tents other than food and water now. I'm going to earn my gear or just stop playing. While I say that, last night I got reset to the coast, ran to elektro firestation and found an M249 on the floor with 3x200 round belts with it. Can't complain really.

A .50 cal as a 2 shot gun? Do you even understand weapons at all? Your skull would explode if you got hit by an AS50 round in real life, not just make a hole, it would explode. This is not cod, we don't do weapon balancing here.

So basically all you're saying here is that because it's duped gear, they shouldn't have it, and other people should instead? What logic.

Why do this? Someones worked hard to find all this gear, and you've just fucked it all up for them. I'm all for finding peoples tents and taking stuff, but posting it on a forum and getting ALL of their gear taking is just rude.

Why are you even here? The game in it's current state with hackers is disappointing, but it's not dead by any means. It's the middle of the night in the US and there are 16,000 people playing at the second. And what makes you think WarZ will be better? While having a look around the most popular ArmA hack website out at the moment, I read several threads about how they plan to create similar hacks for WarZ, and they will start as soon as one of them gets a beta key.

Active admins are great for kicking hackers, but what use is kicking a hacker after he's killed the whole server?

This guy is clearly lying, you know why? It takes 2 9mm rounds to shoot through the glass of any vehicle windscreen. As you all know, flying a helicopter with a fuel leak last for a very short time, so these guys would have repaired the windscreen already. OP had 1 round for his makarov, not 2. Also, OP comes here much more often than he claims, he was last online yesterday, and has been on every day before that. All he's doing now is getting a buddy in ArmA II and trying to replicate the shot again in vanilla arma so he doesn't have to hunt down a chopper. Of course, the video isn't up yet because it can't be done.

You just spawn at the beach, you don't lose your shit. It's like a normal respawn, but you get to keep your stuff.

People calling hacks has been a problem in any game for as long as hacks have been around. Why is it that you suddenly only see it in DayZ? There will always be those people that get mad about getting killed and call hacks, it's just part of gaming.

This happened to my brother. It took roughly 2 hours for it took finish. I laughed my ass off when he finally got to the end of the timer, got up walked out of the door of the pub in elektro and got shot.
