Delete the registry values from arma 2 and oa, then relaunch the game(s) through steam, as admin to rewrite them with the new key.

I am surprised you state your reasons with this, its not accurate and you dont seem to understand what you speak of. Have a look at the code, check its functions and calls when you run it, its malicious. -

That does not explain why the ftp connection has outbound connections running when launching the program, or why the program calls dlls through ftp. It installs a rat through the outgoing/incoming connections, people using it are at their own fault for being comrpomised, i warned people now -

You didnt look good enough, the program upon launch, downloads files from an ftp. There are absolutely NO reason why this program should download files from an ftp, and he never said what files were downloaded. -

No, its a forum. The site owners/community do not sell anything, it is all 100% purely public and free releases, made by 3rd parties. The site itself, and the staff, just make sure every release is safe for their users, before approving links. -

What? You make no sense? I was sharing your sentiment that it is a joke that people use this. -

I cant say or link, i was specifically told not to. I'll post some results here in a little bit. The thread was only made to warn "innocents" that might not have known what they were doing, but as the Day Z staff said, if admins wants to cheat, the infection is their own problem. -

You actually trust normal consumer anti virus programs? It was thoroughly analized by a very reputable site in what they do, and it was infected. The Day Z staff also reviewed my post and approved it, up to you if you want to ignore the warning. -

Are private servers technically illegal?
suspense replied to Zoop's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Have you looked at it yourself? I specifically saw the interview where he spoke of this matter, he took inspiration in other mods, but wrote the code himself. If you somehow knows something he dont, then good for you, i cant really argue against that. -

I already responded to it, and again, you are wrong. -

suspense replied to Zoop's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
No, you dont need to take any legal action to legally document you are the auther. At the point where you write any code, it is rightfully yours, how can you not understand that? Its basic law. No, Rocket stated he found inspiration in other mods. But the code of Day Z is 100% his, no code is taking from anywhere else, he infringes nothing. -

suspense replied to Zoop's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
No he didnt lol, desk lawyer much? He released the "mod" not the "source" just because someone released their work does not mean its up for anyone to manipulate and release, the code is still his, and stealing it is infringement. -

Its not that simple, you dont just set up an sql database and suddenly it "magically works". The hive has backend infastructure to actually make things work, for an unofficial hive to work, this has to be emualated or copied. Which is what they are doing. You dont need to agree to anything, at the point where someone writes 2 lines of code, that code is his, and stealing is is infringement. -

The mod is rockets property, and so is the hive. The hive is not developed with anything related to BI really, and BI's terms of service does not state that mod content created in their game, is their property. Thus, any code written in the creation of a mod, is owned by the creator, in this case Rocket. So yes, unofficial hives are in fact stealing code and using it for their own -
This has to be some kind of joke.

Normally, an alpha test would be restricted to parts of the game where feedback is needed. Essentially, the studio would senda the recent version of the "restricted" client so the QA team can thoroughly test said content, this could be zombie behaviour in pusta and ONLY zombie behaviour in pusta. Overtime more things gets focused and the game ends up slightly more polished, testing paramters widen and if something dont work, you take a step back figure out why, make it work and test it again. Studios are divided into several departments, a QA team can test several things while a broken feature is getting fixed. That way testing never really stops. You rarely have a "full gaming experience" until very late into alpha, which you cant really say Day Z is, yet we have much more content available to us. -
This has to be some kind of joke.
suspense replied to Doodiebutton's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I dont know if you are just completely dum-dum, or whats going on with you. You are obviously hinting that the core game of dayz dont work, or that the core game of something in alpha should work. No, i already told you, it should not nessesarily work in alpha, its LUCKY that Day Z's core actually functions. What is it you dont understand? In case you did not understand above sentence, NOT REFERING SPECIFICALLY TO DAY Z, Core gameplay does not nessesarily work during alpha of a game. -
This has to be some kind of joke.
suspense replied to Doodiebutton's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The core game is working. So i dont see your point. You might interpretate "core game" different as a consumer, but if you worked in a studio, or worked in a QA company, or just in general, had done alpha testing before, you would know that the core of Day Z is working. -
This has to be some kind of joke.
suspense replied to Doodiebutton's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Wat? Now you are just being senseless lol. In the alpha stage, more features, mechanics and other random changes are added, then bug fixes are applied, let me put it like that. Obviously the game is not supposed to be 100% broken, that would ruin the point of testing any form of feature. Alpha priority -> features, mechanics, content before bug fixes Beta priority -> bug fixes before features, mechanics, content. -
This has to be some kind of joke.
suspense replied to Doodiebutton's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Not backpedaling, i am asking you a question. Its still fact that features and game mechanics will be broken during alpha, you havent worked in a studio and this is likely your first alpha(and this is even just a mod). I am asking you, because very little features in Day Z are actually "broken" -
This has to be some kind of joke.
suspense replied to Doodiebutton's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Exactly what features are broken? -
This has to be some kind of joke.
suspense replied to Doodiebutton's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
A feature is 98% of the time broken in one way or the other when added during development. Normally, alpha and beta access is not given to the public, its inhouse stages of development. Even at the alpha phase, core elements of BF3 was broken. And at the beta phase, elements that was working in alpha, was broken. The game will never ever reflect a working condition until the day its actually released. -
This has to be some kind of joke.
suspense replied to Doodiebutton's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Alpha is not where you make the core game work lol, any game in alpha face is completely and utterly broken, thats the point. Beta is where you make sure all the core mechanics and features added during alpha, works with little to no bugs.
