From planetside 2 expericance, with over a platoon and a 1/2 running at one time (60ish ppl) there are some things you can do.... Use Teamspeak, push to talk helps here then split your groups into fire teams in diffrent channels, 4 people a group or 5 I think is best (for Dayz that is) each fireteam leader has channel commander enabled and a wisper list set to the other channel commander (basicly they have a private line to each other only) also I would recomned the fireteam leaders have priority speaker in the sub channel they are in, so if someone else is talking and they speak, the voice of the others is cut down and the volume of leader is enhanced this set up allows the squad to still chat and everything while hiking thru the forest, but if contact is made, snaps into tactical style play easy you can even make a secondry wisper key to speak to the whole Teamspeak server, ie inform all squad members the general plan etc

I recomend BMRF #2 its a whitelisted, expert server....ie no name plates/crosshairs and even no 3rd person people are friendly...restarts every 3 hours ... now i think about it, does have a single barracks added to the NEAF (and a fire station) as well as two small blocks of flats at Zeno but thats all the custom buildings I can think of

no one commented on the logic of the OP? Poll: Do you think, ones the SA is out, there will be any upside for playing on Arma 2's DayZ? Which I assume to mean once the standalone is out, not ones. but then the questions are the opposite of the above statement? Yeah, of course, plenty! No one will play DayZmod. No, DayZmod will be much more simple and won't be as complicated as the SA. Maybe, I don't know, it's different. Yeah, but DayZmod will still be somewhat fun. No, but the SA will still be somewhat fun. anyway... I shall play standalone and planetside 2, (and possibly dayz 2017 too)

Just on a slightly related note....reminded me of this great video...

group is the best experiance, although i started solo and found my group in game :) but yeah use direct chat not side for voice! but this game has plenty of issuses aka zombie pathfinding/zombie spawn aka there's a player near/ and the arma engine (although good for what it is....its not your BF3 or other polished engines/games but then again once you know it, it serves it purpose well) Although as above, stand alone would be the better choice but if you cant wait you get the mod.....and Arma/Op arrow head (with all the mods included....recomend domination/ace/acre etc!
