hmmm... At this point i would be deleting local cache and re-downloading and installing. It sounds like something is corrupted big time.

Use DayZ commander to launch the game. You can filter by day only servers, and it also shows the current time the server is running.

That probably won't work as it is a Arma issue, not a DayZ, battleye or beta problem. But it is worth a shot :) If all else fails, you can delete the local files and redownload the whole game. EDIT: let me know how you go. I'm curious as this is a common issue.

I Just curious, as I live in Australia too. Does it take you forever to get on an AU or NZ server? I get on US servers with higher latency quicker

Do you have the steam version of arma 2? If so, you need to do this for both Arma 2 and Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead. 1) right click on the game (Arma 2 first) > properties (might be called something else. I can't remember) > local files > verify integrity 2) repeat the process for Arma 2 OA 3) when both have finished, in steam, select Arma 2 OA, and click play. 4) it will come up with 4 options, you want to select the bottom one. Should be Arma 2 Combined Operations. 5) when it loads to the main menu, quit the game to desktop. 6) launch the game through 6 launcher, DayZ Commander, or a link to the beta patch (it lives here: - ""C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe") 7) Dayz should work now

If you have a primary in your backpack and one equipped, pull from your backpack and the gun will swap with the one in your inventory. Just keep enough room for ammo in both inventory and pack so nothing gets cannibalized.

ArmA 2 offers so much more then just dayz. The game in itself is awesome, plus some of the other mods like Zagabad Life are fantastic. And if you don't like any of them you can experiment with the mission editor. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Who am I to flame you for it like everyone else. :)

Any idea on a new target date? I know developments are not black and white when it comes to release dates. Just curious and excited :)

Yeah i was being a little optimistic with 2-4 weeks. lol on the positive site, the numbers of hackers will hopefully reduce, as a lot of the kiddies parents wont pay for new keys for them. :)

I'm tipping we have, at best, 2-4 weeks before the hack bypasses are updated. But hey, on the positive side, that is 2-4 weeks of hacker free (or much much less) gaming :)

I have seen some servers with only like 2 people in it. I get kicked for ping too high. Seems like a new way of farming the server if admin is close to his host location.

sounds like a corrupt file of come description. Have you tried some of the following - Deleting the @DayZ folder and reinstalling from scratch (This sounds like it may have the best chance of working) - Deleting the beta folder and re-installing that. - Uninstalling battleye, deleting the dll's, then re-installing - Re-installing ArmA 2 OA - Combination of the above Try having a friend log onto a server before you and when you log on and get kicked, he will be able to read the message as to why you were kicked. Probably something along the lines of DayZ is dependant on blah blah blah .pbo file, or user blah blah blah modified data file. EDIT: This seems a lot more widespread. Sounds more like Sever side or hive/db issues.

Actually, as few earlier points stated, what happens if you get stuck, wilderness spawn, or hackers going nuts with break legs scripts? Can't let the zombies eat you if your in the middle of nowhere. So are we expected to go watch TV for an hour and wait to stave to death? I suppose it is not so bad. I will be able to do that thing called "going outside" while I wait.

Ch=on refers to crosshairs. And they can hear you, they just want to be dicks. I make it my sole mission in DayZ to hunt these people down (I like bandit killing, not pk'ing). Hopefully I can get more survivors to follow my cause.
