    Compressed day/night cycle?

    We usually play on US servers, even though we live in EU due to this problem - everyone works 9am-6pm, and playtime gets pushed in after nightfall.

    Official disconnect thread

    There should be a timeout on DC then? Like in World of Warcraft and most other similar games - if you disconnect, your character remains in game for another 15-30 seconds. Completely and easily nullifies the use of DC.

    Are people more hostile, or friendly?

    Actually, I have no problem at all with the hostility. In fact, I think it adds to the atmosphere! You have no clue who to trust, which means that those few friendships you earn are really worth something. My first encounter with another player was really cool, we spent the first few minutes just aiming at each other while discussing, until we came to the conclusion that we are both new started characters without any inventory space to loot each others stuff. We ended up cooperating for a couple of hrs, which felt good :)

    Why this mod is the best thing to happen to PC gaming

    I completely agree with you! This is the first game where I've actually been excited over it's gameplay mechanics since... I don't know, seven years? Last time I got excited over mechanics was the raids in vanilla WoW, which got fucked up in less than three years. Just making your own scenarios in the editor in Flashpoint would drain countless hours at LAN parties etc back in the day. I think this is the perfect game engine to make a online survival horror game with, and I'm really happy that they've captured the essence of zombie survival (making scavenging a need, and also having permadeath to make the stakes as high as possible! I hope this goes to a stable version, and I (also many many acquaintances) would not think twice over contributing by donations. :)
