Its not uncommon to find camps like these with tents full of satchel charges. He more than likely took them out of the tents and used their own explosives against them.

Just keep exploring. I spent a month without ever seeing a vehicle, but have found 3 in the past week. Its all luck really.

If people are upset that they have to pay for DayZ after buying ARMA2, its their own fault. DayZ is a free mod. They made the choice to pay to play it.

The only power the admins have are bans, kicks, and server controls. Anything else is more than likely a hacker.

Its not really a punishment. Just another factor everyone, not just bandits, will have to think about. It might make you more Likly to think twice before pulling the trigger.

Seeing as humanity currently has no effects, positive or negative, I feel like it needs some major changes. I'd like to see humanity become a force you have to keep in check, much like blood, rather than the defining mark of a bandit or survivor. For example kill enough players, do enough horrible shit, and your character would slowly degrade. You may start shaking slightly, or even talking to yourself much like coughing with an infection. Essentially the lower your humanity gets, the less sanity you have. Of course there would have to be more ways to regain humanity. Possibly things like logging out at a tent to simulate sleeping. What are your opinions? Discuss.

There has been talk of making DayZ a standalone game in the future, but the game is currently in an extremely experimental ALPHA stage. You will probably be waiting a long time. Arma 2:CO is not all that expensive, only about 20-30$ depending on where you shop, and the core game is pretty decent as well. If you really want to play DayZ its well worth the money in my opinion.

Just run around. I have found 7 in the time span of 3 play sessions. Its a little ridiculous how common they are....or is that just me?

Anyone recognize the song Mr. 8-bit man was playing? It sounds so familiar and its driving me insane trying to figure it out.

Loving the server so far! Me and my group of 4-5 have made it our "home" server. As of now we have had little to no issues on the server regarding Lag / Hackers / other unpleasant things.

My first thought was that it was for "marketing" as well as a bit more testing outside of the closed testing group. Either way its not a bad thing. As you said the current patch is fine for the moment.
