Most of the detractive comments in this thread are quite frankly laughable, if current state of the game doesn't suit your needs or meet your expectations then simply move on and find something new to play. I only recently came back to the game at the beginning of November and was blown away with the work on the zombies and particularly the terrain itself. So for me, 1.0 is a good starting point, for anyone frequenting Discord lately, I see the beginnings of a very healthy number of modders who are happy to have a great framework to work off. Good times ahead.

I just released a mod that might help with that... Install the mod on your server, then set any date and time from May through to September for a full daylight cycle.

Sullen Skies is an overhaul of the Cloud and Overcast systems for Chernarus Plus Lowers base cloud, No cloudless skies, Darker, more turbulent clouds. This mod can be run client-side as long as the key is installed on the server. Signed key is also included. Steam Workshop

Really enjoyed last night's Developer stream, it's amazing what has been done with the new player controller system, looks very fluid. I'm excited for what's to come further down the road. Given everything that has happened during DayZ's long development cycle, it's heartening to see a team still full of dedication and optimism. Personally, I haven't played DayZ for over 2 years but I'm still an avid follower of the project, I will most definitely be returning when 0.63 hits stable....hell, I might even jump aboard experimental when it drops. First off great news that were getting a standalone product soon but hear me out please. We all seem to be on tenderhooks waiting each day for a few crumbs of news about the mod, but since the last update/patch i have played Dayz about 3 times as the graphical glitches that have cropped up break all of the immersion that the mod once had. According to the press release yesterday the mod will be updated parallel to the standalone which is great, but folks it's been nearly 2 weeks since this latest patch/update brought these graphical bugs and there has been very little done about it since. I visit the site daily and all the news seems to be about is the number of new players playing the game, these new players are playing an inferior version of the game i started playing 3 months ago. I bought ArmaCO just to play Dayz but now find i'm spending more time enjoying the fantastic depth Arma has to offer, i will get back to playing the DayZ mod once the latest and worst bugs so far have been squashed, but until then any one for some Arma Domination.........DayZ MOD IS DEAD(for the moment)Long live DayZ!

Did anybody who's replied so far actually read what i posted, i do check the forums on a daily basis for information, and while the mod may not be dead to you, in it's current state it's dead to me till it's playable again.

I have a Ghillie which is useless to me as i am a female character and can't use it at this moment( c'mon Rocket get this sorted), so i would be willing to trade for something more useful to me

I run an HD 6970 with 12.6 drivers and don't have any issues, i could only suggest if your having probs roll back your drivers.
