  1. Me and a friend are looking for a third member to our bandit group.

(Must use Mumble for voice chat, also must have a good mic)

    Preferences:

    -ages 15-24

-knows how to properly play both vanilla AND overwatch

-not overly serious about the game, but knows when it's serious and when to joke around

-must be a bandit willing to shoot anyone with a gun

-doesn't mind moving overwatch servers to join us

-preferred to live in the U.S. for timezone purposes

to contact us please reply to this post, so i can PM you our mumble info

a short description of our group:

we are a group of 2 bandits, (Remnant John and Sy Ableman)

we are extremely laid back, and we laugh alot. we've been banditing for around a year and a half (since about the time dayz started booming way back when we started with macaronis and patrol packs)

  2. an open letter to the admins of US 3480:

not sure if you realize, but every time you shut down the server, it rolls people back a TON, gear, location, everything. even when you log off before the restart, it'll roll back my gear. what the hell? if you could shed some light on this horrible issue that'd be nice

  3. i don't mind that they want it to be harder to survive on your own, but it's incredibly unrealistic for you to not be able to bloodbag yourself, in real life, you would totally find a way to bloodbag yourself.

i just wish it took really long and was almost an inconvenience, like perhaps you "spill some" and only get 9k blood out of it? maybe it takes your player a good 90 seconds to bloodbag because he has to do all the work himself? i don't care as long as it isn't just shoved off and pronounced "balanced"

  4. usually my name is RemnantJohn, coming from a gmod RP server from about 2 years ago now. i had a group named the 'remnants of the apocalypse' and changed my name to RemnantJohn to fit the character! all of the admins started calling my Remnant after i had closed the group and it just stuck

  5. as an admin of the server you're talking about, no we don't, we have the military offroad, and the hatchback.. that's it

also as an FYI, the Biplane, humvee, and the 8 seat little bird are all in the debug planes (20 grids off of the edge of the map, so essentially ungetable)

EDIT: added more info about the debug planes

  6. US 1994 Hosted by The Builder's Union, hosted by a group of fulltime bandits, we have 'roundabaout 6-7 people in our group currently? we have camps filled with shit, and vehicles to follow. you must have mumble and a satisfactory mic to play with us

P.S. we also host servers on a bunch of other games if you're into that

  7.

As i read your signature i pondered your question.. Are you seeking forgiveness for your profession, acceptance or justification from the masses?

Maybe you could answer a question for me : " What is so right with Bandits?"

first question - acceptance and justification mostly, some people want so so bad features that 'improve player interaction', all while ignoring the fact that they can easily make neutral encounters... even i, in a bandit skin, holding a DMR and a czech backpack, have been given help from a random passerby just by saying "i'll blood bag you if you blood bag me" (MORE THAN ONCE EVEN!), It's really not that difficult to 'be the good guy'

second question - bandits, like i said, add a factor of fear to the game you can get nowhere else, that's pretty right if you ask me

  8. so recently i've started skimming over this forum and i've seen a repeating pattern.. bandits are the worst thing ever. i can't help but ask how? first of all, it really does add an extra factor to the game which you can't get anywhere else. really, what other MMOFPS makes you ponder "is this guy going to shoot me when i help him find a gun? am i going to be sniped the second i leave this general store?" in my mind, it adds an incredible feel to the whole experience, making no place other than 2km deep into woods feel safe. second of all, it gives the good players an endgame goal, to "murder all bandit "assholes" and bring salvation to the wasteland!" i mean, come on, what do you do once you blood bag every noob on the server? then what? wait for them to die so you can do it again? booooooooring

so my question is; what is so wrong with bandits?

  9. i agree with the sewer idea, maybe an incredibly large sewer covering the whole island, with tons of dead ends and incredible darkness.

or perhaps a really (and i mean unsettling) scary building including all sorts of stuff like banging noises, faint cries, zombies, and EXTREMO RARE OMG loot
