Game Purchase only, because seriously, the game would pay for itself considering it's theme and it's success and popularity it already has as a alpha-mod. People are buying Arma just to play this. You should add this Mod on Desura too.

He's just butthurt because he thinks I don't know about the gridloc call that the soldiers automate, but the thing is, what I was talking about before, was when the soldiers literally spurt out a random set of numbers that are not even on the map. I get a lot of "ZERO ZERO ZERO ZERO ZERO ZERO" type reports or "ZERO ZERO ONE ZERO ZERO ONE" which doesn't make sense when I know I am at a specific grid, but yeah.. He sure is upset. :)

makes sense, because all i've been hearing on the hour is the morse now, not even the numbers, it doesn't even play the music. other than that, i sometimes hear things like voices, but i don't know if i am just hearing things or if people are accidentally leaving voip on.

NWA. check bodies of soldiers' date=' that is where I found mine, that is why I always try to check bodies of soldiers now, and which is why I found the Radio. [/quote'] Zombie soldiers or standard random soldier corpse ? Zombie soldiers as far as I know, I had to kill the ones that I found stuff on.
-
no numbers played this hour, either that or i missed it, just the morse code or radio frequency, i really don't know which it is.
-
haha, then is there any real point to switching to a czech pouch at all? wouldn't it be a downgrade?
-
awesome!

ah ya' date=' it does sound like that. maybe that is what it is? but what do the numbers mean for numbers stations, maybe it means the same thing for this recording. [hr']

http://i.imgur.com/yUt6H.jpg this is where I found it btw, if anyone is interested, I don't know if you'll have the same 'luck' as I did, or if you're even interested, and it just played again about 8 minutes ago, and it is confirmed the same message on a loop, but it is still getting kinda redundant at this point.. it should at least be like fallout 3 where it is an actual radio station with music. Sorry for the profanity in the chat on the screenshot link, if it is against the rules, I'll remove the link. I just linked one in my last post about where I found it edit: neat, instead of letting you make multiple posts, it merges all sequential posts together if no one posted after you. :D

what is UVB-76
-
Ya I thought it was neat at first, but it playing all the time is drowning out any actual vital sound that I may need to hear, like if someone is sneaking up on me, or gunshots in the distance, I don't want to throw it away, but I might have to, maybe Rocket could make it where it is togglable or like people can turn it on and off, because it's stuck with the power on as it is now.

Ladders: The true scourge of DayZ

haha.. ya it's a pain in the butt, but yeah, always have your primary weapon (rifle/shotgun/etc.) out when climbing ladders. -
Food and water being used offline
numerics replied to Jeff (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I really dislike this feature too, I don't know why it is implemented, My friend just died of dehydration earlier, and it was solely because he didn't have enough time to play last week. It's extremely imposing on a person's personal life. Please remove it. -
I don't know either, I know that it is temporary though.. it might indicate a sprain or something.

PVP - Spawn Points and Safe havens
numerics replied to bionoman's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
You deserved what came to you. To rely on the good nature of others in a setting with PvP/Survival elements in it is just silly, I can't believe you actually broadcasted your pinpointed position and welcomed all to join you especially when you know Bandits are an actual factor in this game. Go watch 'The Road' or something. -
Just a heads up though, if you do end up picking up a M107 (which I found on a corpse last night) it will take up your primary weapons' slot and your backpack slot.

Drag-Drop Inventory System and Timed Warnings for Server Shutdowns.
numerics posted a topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
One thing that really hinders a player in this game is the inventory system, the fact that you have to aim your cursor directly onto something to pick it up, and sometimes that doesn't work too well. Or when you're trying to shift things around in your backpack, i.e. switching guns from your backpack to your main inventory would require you to: drop your current primary weapon on the floor, open your inventory, open your backpack, shift the existing weapon into your equipped slot, close your backpack, look at the weapon on the floor, open your inventory, open your backpack, shift that weapon into your backpack, and if it didn't pick up all the mags, look at each mag left on the ground and open your inventory, and open your backpack, and shift them back into your backpack. I know that this is still in alpha, but the backpack and inventory system wasn't ever really refined in Arma too well, if it is possible to add a drag-drop system for easier on-the-go type organizing, it would work better especially considering how highly stressful this mod is, you don't want to sit still for too long to shift things around because there are undead and human predators lurking around, this can get you killed, not to mention the Servers being shut down abruptly can actually make you lose the stuff you had on the ground while shifting stuff around if the Server shuts down while you're doing this. So on top of a better inventory system, there should definitely be a Server shutdown notice with around one minute's warning before it goes down, that way people can ready themselves before it goes down, giving them a better chance of not losing anything and actually getting to a safe place before the Server goes down. -
Drag-Drop Inventory System and Timed Warnings for Server Shutdowns.

as far as i know, if you doubleclick a weapon in your inventory, it will not put it on the ground, it will actually override your existing weapon that is in your weapon slot, and making it disappear all together as a result, and you need to realize a lot of elements in this mod are not default or vanilla by any means, so adding new functionality wouldn't be so impractical.
