  1. every few times I message via dart, the message sometimes shows up twice. Any reason for this?

    Bandits: Law and Order.

this i This is what Dayz is currently in. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anarchy I think that people should just learn to survive better. I ahve seen people running in the open between cherno and elektro, seen them running across the NW airfield. If your not cautious, you will die. Arma 2 isn't designed for a BF3 or a MW3 player. Run and Gun won't work. Plus, I like beans.

    Stuff it, I'm a bandit.

Yet another person converted from the Dark Side to the side of Light.

    Side effects of Murdering

I disagree with this. I have 11 murders atm and I already fall for the twig snap and birds flapping sound in the forest as being a gun shot. And often mistake trees or shrubs to being a person. The game makes me paranoid as it is.. I might end up in a mental institution because of it -.-

A few ideas and a few complaints.

perhaps a crossbow quiver in the toolbelt? That when added it allows 3 bolts per slot rather then 1?
  6. already suggested something similar but it never even got a reply ;( My idea was to have a noise or something seeing as sound comes on first for those logging in. If someone is in a radius of 1km it will make the noise for both player on the ground and the one loading in. This way both players are aware someone is close, but not close enough that they will find them quickly hence both players will be on guard without knowing where the other person is.

    Bring back Markov at spawn

For me, a melee weapon at least should be started with. I think the no makarov has hurt Dayz in terms of new players.
  8. tbh I'd prefer to know if I've dropped him or his D/c'd This idea could be good WHEN the D/C and server hopping is fixed.
  9. It's in Alpha. Why remove the only part of the game that actually works?

    Option to nerf PvP?

the issue is the people that often complain are the ones who just want to run into places to loot and horde the gear for themselves. Because people don't want to lose their M107's or their FN Fal night scopes or their Nightvision. And the best chance they have at dieing is by someone shooting them then by a horde of zombies. I have been killed once by a camper at the NW airfield. I have killed three campers at it. Why?, because I don't go skipping into the middle of the airfield, expected to just get a free run into the hangers or the barracks, to grab my loot. I actually spend about an hour or so, scoping out the place. Checking the runway. And more often then not you actually come up behind these campers. If your too impatient for it then I suggest finding another game to spend time on it. Because Dayz is by far not a 'run and gun' game like BF3 and COD. Take the PVP away and the game turns into Diablo 3 with Zombies. The Zombies aren't that intelligent. They aren't smart, they are easy to predict and easy to avoid and very very easy to kill (1 AK + 5 clips = 100 dead zombies before I run out of ammo) they aren't worthy of the challenge. The PVP element is what makes you scared shitless when you hear that gunfire coming from behind you. And I love losing all my gear, as I have done before and no doubt it will happen again soon. Because it means you need to be more cautious and to not get careless.

My thought on a PvP fix.

I'vr got a question. What is the problem with PVP sig.
  12. As I state above, I am in a gaming community. We do this anyway to anyone we actually talk to and know. This doesn't really do anything but increase the amount of people wanting to exploit this feature. Tbh, pretty much the same as above. It will be way to hard to code something more complex in to not abuse or exploit this suggestion. And if you ARE IN A COMMUNITY then this is already a given when you have teammates to help you out. Or just join a gaming community where you can go into places and take loot from cities and towns. I can understand Pistols dropping on Military/Police zombies but why on earth would any citizen zombie have morphine or blood on them (unless Cheraus is a Vampire Plagued Drug abused destination?) This really doesn't help. I personally approach with a 'I will shoot on sight with anyone who doesn't announce themselves before hand' I have been shot when I gave someone an epi-pen to wake them up. Fact is, you don't know who the player is. If I had sweet gear and killed a bandit but let a civillian go free. What indication does it give me that that civillian isn't just a respawned bandit who is looking for someone like me to kill. I can see many servers crashing This will probably end up failing. Why? Because the aiming thing is already exploited for finding people. And if you got close enough to someone to see these stats, if it is a bandit, you'd be dead. How does this help?. So the best loot is not only the barracks at the NW airfield but also the hangers their too. So it makes the game more narrow then expensive. The fact you can find the mid range weapons at these places it what keeps the game in balance as it doesn't require players to go to the NW airfield. How does this give anyone a reason to explore then the game already gives?. I woulden't go searching in a forest for loot and gear where I know their is some place that actually gives it. I don't go searching for crash helicopters. I usually find them on my way to a destination. And adding this in wouldn't change that factor. This is, infact a statement. You have no suggestions to this point? I disagree entirely with anyone who says their is a PVP problem If you try and defame the PVP then the game will become stale. Dayz isn't Diablo 3, It isn't WoW and it isn't spongebob square pants. It's all about thinking and strategy. The game is hard, It isn't about holding hands together. The PVP element is the best thing about the game so far. It creates fear and paranoia about where people are. I can't tell you how scared I've been to hear shots from behind. And I've died from them too. They get my heart racing badly to be in a firefight. Get rid of PVP or nerfing bandits will degrade the game to being the same as others and it will be a disgusting thing to give survivors perks when being in a group is already a major perk. This is an OPEN-WORLD-SANDBOX-ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE SURVIVAL-PVP and anything to change that will make the game the same as other games. "But the weapons are overpowered, Lets make them less powered and Zombies more harder" Problem: this game turns into a WoW or Diablo 3. And it's just repeating itself over and over again. I will lose interest in it, and I will even send an email off to BI to demand my money returned as I got Arma2 for Dayz. This game is unique, and I don't see the point of trying to make it like other games and turn into a dungeon crawling 'lets horde loot' deal. PVP is the ultimate experience of Dayz. You get shot, You lose it all, You don't know who did it. It gives you Paranoia. The community I play with are dicks to each other and constantly fire each others weapons behind each other because it literally scares the crap out of you. "But players are camping spots so people can't move out" I have been shot more times in an open field running to a location then I have within 5KM of my spawn point. The point isn't well validated. Their are plenty of servers to choose from to get out of the spawn area. "Sick of getting shot by people all the time" Thats why their are gaming groups. I come to Dayz from a Counterstrike gaming community and we join up together. Their are plenty of Dayz gaming community's out there to have fun with and play with. Bandits don't often go after a group of players. And the larger your community the more chance of them helping you out with guns/ect. "I got shot at NW airfield with my FN Fal nightscope and 6 clips of ammo, nightvision, My SD pistol with 4 clips of ammo and all the rest of my gear" Why would you go to the NW airfield with good gear? I have started a few times without a pistol as you do now and survived easily enough, finding a weapon and such. If you can't survive long enough perhaps it's time you actually thought things through before making an attempt at it. And join a dayz community dedicated to working together. Makes life simple.
  13. Now myself and some mates have had the issue that I'm sure many of you had where you get completly blindsided by server hoppers joining the server in the barracks/hangers/firestations ect and shooting you in the back while your on the server you always play on and are trying to loot the place. My suggestion to combat this is: Have a warning system for both. While a person is receiving data (before it goes to loading) it does show the server text I believe. I believe a warning of 'Someone is spawning within your area' and 'You are spawning in with someone in your area' would be a fantastic way to let both parties know someone is spawning in the area (Lets say that it's a 1km radius from the person spawning in. That way it's large enough that people don't have a direct location on the person and can't run looking after him. Giving the person in question a chance to load in and then both parties can be on guard with each other). This will also could be a deterrent for server hoppers to actually not be trapped in the 'Obvious' place such as the barracks ect and have them move to a location to log out from. While this also helps the people who are trying to loot to actually watch their backs. This also helps those who D/C only to join another server, run behind the person, then reconnect. because on most servers, they don't know who they are shooting at. So when they D/C they are in the dark. (Perhaps a warning of 'someone just disconnected in your area') and if someone spawns in the radius the person will know that they most likely D/C to change position. And can be prepared to count that. Another idea came from a friend I play on line with. His idea was that when you log in. You have to move a certain amount of meters before you can fire your gun. Ensuring you must log out in a safe location first hand otherwise your limited.
