Hi, Im looking to join a private shard for me and my group to join. We dont mind roleplaying or having to be whitelisted in but would prefer just standard dayz "rules" basically none :). We are a friendly and are part of an arma 3 realism group, But we also like to play dayz in between operations. Im looking for a server that has a full day/night cycle and that has persistance enabled, and would be good if the server was in UK or Europe. If anyone could suggest a few servers that would be great.

yeah, same here, had a few of us waiting around for it to cook last night before we logged out. we waited 30 mins.....nothing, packed up the fire place and logged off in the end.

You can cook pizza in a frying pan. I have a full setup, and am searching for things to cook. Maybe your pizza will work. :)

I did however heat my frying pan up. The four slots it takes up in inventory went red. :) i wonder if you can melee with a hot frying pan for extra damage or something?

Yh my friend found one. I read somewhere you can boil water in the pot, i have seen it in a video but was unsure how he got steam to come from it. Im going to further investigate it. See how it works, for when the update comes in.

I might hold onto my equipment then. I heard the hunting and survival aspect is featured heavily in the next update. I also hope the backpacks go persistant in next update so i can build a small camp. I prefer surviving more than hunting people and trolling.

Ive been collecting cooking equipment and fire place items so i can live happily in the woods on the far west side of chernaraus, i have a full stove, cooking pot and frying pan. Are there any items that actually can be cooked in this build? Ive tryed a few things and nothing works. I hear that there is raw steaks but havnt found any yet to test. Can anyone shed any light on the current state of cooking and fire building in dayz? Can it be done yet?

This is a post i made nearly a year ago and dayz is still mainly a pvp bloodbath. I hope when standalone hits it hard as nails, resulting in people limping around screaming out for help because of the complete harshness of the enviroment. breaking point and the other new versions have all strayed a little to far from what dayz is about for me. 15 bags of cement??? build a house with a garage???? no thanks! just a tent will do for me. The harder the game gets the more people will HAVE to band together. when you meet a pack zombies you should be f**king scared. cant freaking wait :) see you all in hell.

shouldnt the inventory slots relating to the clothing match the amount of pockets. 4 slots for jeans instead of six, also 6 slots in the hoodie seems far to many. Anyone feel the same?

I know the score. It's kill or be killed. BUT... The thing that everyone wants is LOOT. Am I wrong? To kill a man WITH loot. I kinda expect it. But to kill a man with nothing just seems pointless. Surely a waste of ammo. From now on I trust no one. Thanks dayz fOr the paranoia.
