After Action Report: To say I was piss scared when I heard the LMG let lose would be a lie. To hear that monster go off not only near you but the bullets flying past your head. It is an experience I will never forget. Ever. (That and the many times we almost shot one another while we were in the NWAF). We found a little bit more ammo for our respective guns, a GPS which I took and we finally decided it was time to bugger out. As we were leaving, we realised that despite all the bullets we had so generously distributed to the locals, not a single time was there a bullet that whizzed by, a snap-hiss or gun shots that wasn't ours. To say we were lucky bastards on a semi-filled server in the hottest of hot spots would not be far from it. With the NWAF far behind us and whatever safety the forest gave us, we did a quick inventory of our spoils. The spoils were good. Really good. We both had received and taken on a patient each in the South-West but realised it would take us quite awhile to reach them. It was a good thing a fellow South-West medic, Lynx, was in the two patients' general area and accepted the two patients. At this point, somewhere close to where we first rendezvoused for this little adventure, we parted ways. SoulShaper2 for his AO and I for my little camp. I promised him I would visit the East one day and we would have an adventure as well there. That was fun. We need to do that again, And I need to get off my arse and get around helping people! Again, many thanks to Lynx for being a great guy and taking on our patients. We owe you one (well, for me, two or three)! EDIT: Be sure to read SoulShaper2's AAR as well. His story does not end where mine does! :D Haven't heard from her for awhile now. Glad to see she's still fighting a good fight! :D I'm also sure she was a Whitelist member's apprentice or protege, Whitelist status should come soon too now that she has a patient vouch for her :) And now, I bid thee adieu, good luck, stay alive and godspeed.

SoulShaper2 had a couple of tents that would go missing and reappear after a server reset. Hopefully its just that :)

We are global. As a matter of fact, I'm from Malaysia ie. GMT+8 :D and I used to be up to the wee hours playing DayZ :D

Slightly PSA-ish: As much as anyone with a sadistic demeanour enjoys watching a few forum users butt heads, may I just remind that this thread is meant for requesting assistance? Yes, initially one can have a short and quick, if not long discussion about something. But the 'Shard' issue has now stretched quite awhile now as well as a few pages. If the two parties could either come to an agreement or truce, even an uneasy or begrudgingly one, that would be nice. If not, move to the PMs please. Crap...so..the server im using with my tent decided to eat my DMR, M9SD, NVG, GPS and other bits and bobs. Am I pissed? Yes. But meh. That just means I can now run around with more meds and generally not care for my safety(?) :D EDIT: Note to self, no more Russian servers. Only ANZ, NZ and US servers. Also, will not be available for the week as am going to go for a vacation! w00t! :P

The idea that people actually want to group up and assault charitable groups >:( So, where does this put us my fellow men of medicine? The OP linked to a thread started by one of our fellow medics and it also heavily implies that the group will be targeting anyone who provides medical support to anyone. Erm...Elektro is a no no for most of us? One: You keep saying Southern Military Base. I have no clue what you mean but I can guess you actually mean Balota Airfield. That or you could mean the military camps in Chernogorsk (highly doubt it). Two: If you are near coast let alone a military base, a fair portion of the solo medics are unwilling to go cause people S.O.S there. Soulshaper2 has been shot at and killed despite screaming 'Medic! Medic!' Yes, we can bounce back but it takes time and effort before we're good to get back out there to help you. Three: Distance is a factor. Most of us are somewhat in the centre of Chernaurus. A few are closer to the south. All in all, the average distance is 4km from central Chernaurus to southern Chernaurus. Running simulator 2012 anyone? And even if we do cover the distance, you might have to go even if we're 500m out. So, wasted time? Yes please. Four: We're human too. We need to eat, sleep and blow steam too. In fact, I was just diagnosed with sleep deprivation and have been ordered to get as much sleep as I can now. I don't cause I still stay up to help you guys out. Yes, if I'm online for so long, why can't I take most requests? Look at Three please. Effeciency is key. If another medic is nearer, its more efficient for him/her to take that request. Five: We're doing something close to a charity. We're like the Red Cross of UN. We have only so much and have so many requests, we're pretty swamped. Six: Patience is a virtue. I think someone once waited 3-5 days before any help came. And he only posted twice I think. Please, we're only human and can do so much in a day. Seven: The tone of your 'recent' requests. Yes it's the Internet, yes it's a game, yes it's a forum, yes it's just words but I'm sorry if I seem too straightforward or cynical but you're starting like a carebear or a CoD kiddie. I have to be very frank here. Flame me, hate me, curse me, hold a grudge against me, spit on me, paint me in a bad light, try to ban me, whatever. Please do realise that there are many factors why we are not everywhere treating you and being your mommy ingame. I know this might get me kicked off the Whitelist but I felt like I had to put this out. Also, no AAR as, like I mentioned, I was pretty sleep deprived and just crashed at my comp till I just woke up. Will not be going to take medical requests as I am all out of meds and am waiting till a stable version of DayZ and the ARMA 2 Beta patch is out.
