I fixed the problem ... had to change the code in my Server PBO on a couple of scripts. :)

New player just can't get into this game...

They recently changed the Loot Tables so the videos you may have watched are older versions where loot was "easier" to find. Try to find a few people to team up and play with them ... the game can be challenging and that is why a large portion of us play it. Some games are just not for everyone ... you can always play the Campaigns of Arma2 and Amra2 OA ... they can be fun. -

I can't recall them every being any other colour but red ... having said that though ... when you play for a while you kind of stop focussing on them completely. Maybe it is just me. :( -

Okay ... I am out of suggestions now ... I have no idea what the problem could be as I have never even heard anyone experiencing this unless they have serious lag. I am sorry I can't be more help ... I really wish I could. :(

Have you tried different servers? Are your friends on the same server as you? What is your latency like to the server?

So then check your Arma2 files.

It is only happening to you ... so ergo the problem lies on your installation ... fix that. Use DayZ Commander to verify the DayZ Mod files ... use Steam to verify the game. Nothing to do with the mod if it is only you and not your friends on the same server ... it has to do with your installation.

Try a different server ... I had a similar problem when I started ... I eventually watched some YouTube videos to get a better understanding and then played again. Alternately you can try to find a Private Hive that is friendly and will help you learn the game. Good Luck.

Pretty cool idea ... the only problem I see is the "being alone" thing ... you would have to solve the KOS issue first. I don't KOS, but I also prefer to play on my own as I am sure many other people do ... so that is the only gripe I would have with this suggestion.

I agree with you ... I don't KOS but that is the way I choose to play ... I know it is rampant and I steer clear of people I don't trust. I think to loose a Bandit skin, you should not have a Murder or another Player Hit (with any weapon) for the equivalent of x hours gameplay based on your murders ... so the more murders you have on your player ... the more difficult it will be to get rid of the bandit skin. Not sure if this is still a factor, but switching to a Ghillie or other clothing should not remove the Bandit Skin (never been a Bandit so I am not sure how it works). Good post. -

You can't play Namalsk with with DayZ v1.7.7.1 files. You have to downgrade completely ... unfortunately AFAIR the downgrade option is not as simple as using DayZ Commander and saying, download this version. I think you have to delete the entire @DayZ folder and related folders and then then tell DayZ Commander to download version 1.7.6.1. Some players I know, have two DayZ Folders and related folders ... and they use a little batch script to rename them based on the version of the game they want to play. -

Its all part of the bandits plan to lull you in to a false sense of security ... they are watching you and once you have enough loot for them all ... they will kill you and take it all. :D Hehehehe ... yeah, I love Berezino ... I keep my base nearby (well not nearby) but close enough. :) -
Yeah ... part of the game. But it depends on how you play ... if he was a Hero and was silly enough to get himself in that situation ... then first come first loot IMO. :D

Try use a program like DayZ Commander. It will check all your mods and will make sure your game starts up with the right mods when you connect to a server. HTH -
How are you going to suffocate them without getting close ... and no matter how close you are to death ... human nature kicks in when being suffocated and the body will try to do anything to get air ... so you have to restrain them ... restrain them without touching the blood ... not too mention you know have the chance of zombies or other players in the area ... this will lead to your death ultimately, one way or another. So the button should be ... Finish Me

Okay ... so you are in a Zombie Apocalypse ... you have just shot some dude (bandit, hero, person) ... they are bleeding all over the place ... now you are going to finish them up close and personal and stand a chance of getting infected. I say hell to that ... leave them there ... let them suffer and become Zombie bait ... not waisting my bullets on them. Sorry ... but I am not sure why this would be a good suggestion ... I would rather go fetch my jeep and drive over them. :)

Getting kicked whenever i try to connect to a server.

What servers have you tried? Is this just one particular server or all the servers? Have you checked that your mods are all the right version in DayZ Commander and are you joining the right type of server, use the filters in DayZ Commander.
