Can't copy the game engine and simply remove the illegal items and release the mod as full stand alone alpha right now and work on cleaning it up? Really? Really? Can't or wont? Can someone point me to the server files? I've found the downoads at http://www.battleye.com/download.html but that appears to be client side. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's the current filename running on my server from HFB. Was the 1.7.2.4 + Hive 0.7.2 available on 7/27/12 or is this new updated 0.7.2 hive mentioned above something more recent? This is not a case of an updated Hive file hotfixed and re-released with the same filename as the previous un-hotfixed hive file is it? We had troubles with this crap the last time...

Once again, you are right...NOT! Why again do you troll this thread? You don't even have a server... They will not get another penny from me until the server is running as it should. It can be done, I play on many other servers other than my own without issue. It's a shame I can't play on the one I pay for.

Go to my control panel and the only available option in "updates" shows "installed". I didn't do anything. HFB installed this? Anyway after this fix? As long as you are not wearing camo you can connect to the server. If you have camo/ghille, you cannot join. If you put camo on after joining and you save and rejoin you lose your camo and equipment, including back pack. Still broken. How about a clean install? I mean damn. TICKET #409911

I'm glad you were impressed with no server for well over a week and no support then a TS drop in finally. Seems you are easily impressed. I don't think that word means what you think it means. Look, up until this botched 1.7.2.3 update I was fairly happy with the server. It ran smooth, had good fps, no real issues. I wasn't pleased about the loss of some ftp stuff but that's not a deal breaker if it's across the board. It's a real shame, it didn't have to go down like this. fwiw, I think waiting two weeks to really start raising any hell is having a great deal of patience. Am I wrong? ... and lets face it here folks, they only really started doing anything after the hell was raised. If not for this thread we'd all still be sitting in the dark. If any HFB staff wants to truly help and work with me to solve our issues I welcome it. They can PM me or respond to my tickets in their support system. I'll come to their TS, they can come to mine, I'll call them on the phone, they can call me. I'm open here. In the meantime I continue to play on other servers while the one I pay for sits unusable.

So if you updated the rar, how does that effect a server that has already been patched through your CP with the pre hive hotfix version? You are saying all this time all I had to do is re run the 1.7.2.3 updater? Updating your rar file does not update our server does it? That rar file is a file sitting somewhere waiting on the CP command to unzip and install... it won't install itself. You guys didn't update our server with it, we would have noticed the server going down. So when was this newest hotfixed hive file supposed to get onto our server since I already updated the server prior to the hotfixed hive file release? Not once has it been said (until just now) in any communication from anyone at HFB that you guys went out and got the newest hotpatch hive file and updated your files. Unbelievable. ...and yes Phisher gets it, why do the HFB guys not get it?

I doubt you'd feel the same way if your server was basically unusable for you for several weeks and during that time you have ZERO contact from anyone at HFB. We have been ignored for weeks. I've submitted multiple tickets into their support system, I've sat in their TS channel multiple times, each time for about a half an hour while they just stayed down in their locked channels and ignored us. No response via the ticket system and no offer of help in their TS, and they removed their forums. Total information blackout. Impressive indeed. They should not have to jump into random TS servers to explain what is going on. They should be professional and contact their customers to keep them in the know, not ignore them.

Do you even admin an HFB server? I'm not trying to insult you I'm seriously asking. In the control panel for HFB servers (which is the defacto standard CP for many hosters including viLayer) there is the "updates" option. In that option you can see the files that are available to be applied. One of them has "DayZ 1.7.2.3 + Hive 0.6.2.1 + Beta 95054 + BattlEye v1.61.94945+" See the "+ Hive 0.6.2.1"??? That designates the server has the newest hive file... i.e. different than a previous version... See that? If you were actually an admin of an actual dayz server run by HFB you'd know this. That is the hive updated file we speak of. 1.7.2.3 patch was applied days prior to this hive update being announced and yet when brought to HFB's attention they went to the CP and updated the filename to reflect the hive update file. Meaning I was talking to them on TS then when I brought this to their attention and 2 minutes later the description for the update which I had already applied was changed to include the hive update. The file was not changed only the name. Here it is even more simple. 1) patch 1.7.2.3 was made available. (I updated immediately, meaning I applied the patch through the HFB CP) 2) Hive update was released by dayz devs days after 1.7.2.3 patch. 3) Our server is/was having the issues addressed by hive update. 4) I went on hfbservers TS and talked with their guys (including INU). Who told me the patch on our server included the hive update. (see #1 and #2 above) 5) 2 mintues after bringing the hive update availability to the HFB techs attention, the HFB control panel description was changed to include the "+hive" 6) See #3 above **** for more clarity. Bottom line, the hive file is not the hotfix hive file on our server. Seems the latest patch if it included the hive update included a bad hive file, they released the hotfix for the hive file but the version did not change. So if the HFB folks compare the two the think they have the current one because they are named the same thing so they don't bother to go get us the fixed one.

Short term, correct, I can't control this. Long term I most certainly can. They get no more of my money. FYI, I don't know who you are or why you continue to post in this thread but you are not helping the HFB cause with your insults. I'm guessing you are another part time/volunteer that might help HFB behind the scenes or at least a wanna be. If that is the case maybe you should stay behind the scenes you are only making the issue worse again with your petty insults and constant need to defend them.

Funny, I was talking to him on ts.hfbservers.com Teamspeak support channel the other night. And if he ISN'T part of HFB why is he on here telling me the hive file on my HFB server is up to date? Who are you his mother?

How do you know? I was told by HFB staff that you cannot identify the file version on the box. At the same time he claimed we had the newest file and yet our server acted exactly like it did for 1.7.2.3 update PRE HIVE update. Hive update came out AFTER 1.7.2.3 update, days later, your CP never offered the hive update. Only after I submitted a ticket and chatted on TS did you guys do anything. What did you do? You updated the file NAME in the CP. Never updated the file only changed the name to ... + Hive update... Changing file names does not change the file. I know you've not taken our server down to change any files. So when did this new hive update make it onto our server? At this point with your constant denial, it's basically irrelevant. You guys are damaging your reputation so fast, customers are dropping like flies. You'll be losing more and more including me. If you don't care why should I? Just like your point of view, you lose me, it doesn't matter right? I'm just one person. Well I can find ANY OTHER host and get at least as good of service. At this point I have nothing to lose, if HFB service is par so be it, I get what I get, if HFB is SUB par I have everything to gain by going with someone else. Not only will I NOT renew, I will dispute my original PAYPAL payment for the server and get my money back already paid.
